Attention 8th graders heading to SHS:Do you love to dance? Are you attending Springfield High School next year? The SHS Poms are having tryouts next week for the 2018-2019 school year. If you are in 8th grade and love to dance, this is for you! A mandatory meeting will take place TODAY, Monday 4/23, in the SHS Commons. Tryout packets are available in the office or on the SHS Poms district page.

Garden Club Meeting The garden club will be meeting this Wednesday till 4 P.M. Make sure you

report to the cafeteria after school on Wednesday and wait till Mrs. Bowlin’s meeting is over.

Scholastic Bowl Results:Results from the FMS Tournament:

Team A went 9-0, winning the tournament.

Team B finished in 3rd place out of the 18 teams participating.

Team C (all 6th grade students) tied with Carlinville, one of the six teams that madeit to the championship round

This Week - Scholastic BowlMonday: No practice

Tuesday: Practice from 2:30 to 4:00 (everyone)

Wednesday: Practice 2:30 to 3:15 for students on the 15 person roster & anyone else who wants to go to regionals to watch.

Thursday: Practice 2:30 to 4:00 if we advance to sectionals

Friday: Practice 2:30 to 4:00 if we advance to sectionals

There will be open gym for any 6th grade boys who are interested in trying out for basketball in 7th grade:

Thursday, April 26 from 6:30-7:30

Boys should show up ready to play at 6:30, no earlier, and should be picked up promptly at 7:30.

This open gym night will be run by Coach Gorens.
