Worksheets – death, dying and bereavement &

the work of the hospice.

Name:

Class:

AyrshireHospice|Student workbook

These worksheets have been designed to begin

conversations around death, dying, bereavement and the

work of the hospice. In today’s society we often avoid

talking about death, but why? Death is a part of life and

here at the hospice we believe that children and young

people have the right to know what it involves. These

lessons will help give you an understanding of this and

open up honest conversations in the class room or

separately with class teachers.

Note: It is important to keep in mind during the process of

these lessons that a class mate may have experienced the

death of a loved one. Please be respectful of this and

without drawing attention to others experiences answer

the questions and contribute to class discussions in a

responsible manner.
