WebAssign helps Miami University calculus student learn the importance — and the benefits — of practice.
What challenges do you face as a student?It’s hard to balance a social life, getting involved, working at my job, and keeping up my grades. Sometimes it gets overwhelming and I get stressed. I now know how to balance it by being more organized and calling my family when I need help.
How did WebAssign benefit your learning?WebAssign made me a more confident learner because it had the tools to help me succeed in my math class. There were practice problems and it forced me to practice. I got an “A” in the course and math isn’t my strong subject. I’m a different student today because my study habits are a lot stronger. I do more practice problems and I am more focused in school (I’m a marketing major).
Was the experience what you thought it would be?I feared that I wouldn’t learn as well with WebAssign as I do face-to-face. It ended up working out a lot better than I thought, and I was excited to learn on WebAssign.
What were the results of using WebAssign?I gained better study habits for sure with WebAssign! I now know the importance of practice problems. Practice makes perfect. I thought I would get a “C” or a “B” if I was lucky — and I got an “A.”
