collection tender for the collection of valuable herbs such as Garcinia Combogia,

Ramapatre, Garcinia Indica etc… through forest department. The total area

covered in the tender is above 10000 hectares. The company has standardized the

collection by regularly training the collection team with regard to the method of

collections and regulating the collection of the herbs there by adhering strictly to

the quality norms.

Having their own extraction plant with the capacity of extracting 100

tons of raw herbs per month. Plant is equipped with GMP standard machineries

having quality control department and well defined quality control procedures.

They have a strong production team and Research & Development Department

facilities. Company has departmentalized and well defined division of work among

the various department, such as production department, sales department etc...

herbal products, honey processing and health care business. PRAKRUTI

PRODUCTS PVT LTD mainly concentrates on herbal extracts like Garncinia

cambogia, Bosewellia, Ashwagandha, Green Tea etc…

Utilizing the state of the art of infrastructure, experience and expertise,

coupled with the zeal of offer the best, has given the company the edge over others

and has become a name to reckon within the international market sense. This has

resulted in exports herbal extracts, herbal products and countries like U.S.A,

Canada, Italy, Brazil, Russia etc…

It is manufacturing herbal product and honey. It is small scale industry. It

got National award during the year 2005-06.Prakruthi product pvt. Ltd. Located

near N.H 63 and it is very near to arabic sea.

It collected row material from local and also other state of the India such as

Maharastra, Gujarath, Kerala ,Punjab etc.,they are manufacturing herbal product. It

as Shigekai ( soap & shampoo) has a sales volume of 350 million dollar. The

company reports to have a over 700 ayurvedic products including item such

as Herbal tea, patent medicine, Massage oil and chavanprash.

3. Zandu Pharmaceuticals Works :- It was founded in the year 1919 in

Bombay, named after an 18th century ayrveedic. Its total sales volume is

about 45 million doillars. One of its current project is to develop a

Dopamine drug from a plant extrach, applying for new drug status in the

U.S.

4. Himalaya Drug Company :- It has established in 1934 in Bangalore. It

currently has a business lavel of about 500 million dollars.

distribution centers in India. It produce liquid tablets. It has gained a large

HONEY PURIFICATION PROCESS :-

Honey purification process initially includes filtration of raw honey. After

reducing the moisture it is passed on to raw auto clay, then sparkler filtration is

done to remove micro- organism. Then at last stage filling packaging is done.

GARCINIA COMBOGIA EXTRACT:

Garcinia Combogia chilka is mixed with suitable quantity of water in

reactor, passing heat through steam chamber at constant temperature of 900 C,

refluxing for three hours and collecting the water wash separately. Washings is

heated to 80 C and pH raised by adding NaOH to PH – 7.2. Cooling done and

Calcium Chloride [CaCl2] then precipitation is done. To precipitate Hydrogen

peroxide is added for bleaching then cooled, filtered and finally collecting the

precipitate cake. Cake is then dried and milling and sieving is done. Powered

product is autoclaved and dried. Sterilized product is then packed in

HDPE containers.

within the company. Skills are those capabilities that are possessed by

the employees of an organization. These skills will have direct impact on

the employee’s productivity and their performance. At highly skilled

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

Structure of organization refers to its body or frame work. Every

business organization has specialized activities like production, finance,

marketing etc… though which business is carried though different

department or section formal structure of an organization is horizontal

and vertical.

Horizontal structure refers to division of each specializing activity

in to a separate department for Ex- production, finance, and marketing.

Vertical structure refers to flow of authority relationship. It shows

authority and responsibility relationship in the organization.

Authority moves downwards and responsibility moves upwards in

the organizational structure.

As shown in the diagram column A.B.C represent horizontal

The machine parts such as lubricant, belt, PVC pipes, L tube

PVC pipes, glass , mask and cable wire are available in the store room.

PH meter, electrical Bunsen burner, water heater bath, oven refrigerator,

PPt, burette and all chemicals.

ELECTRICAL AND MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT:

The electrical and maintenance department plays important role

in firm. It provides require power to all departments.

The Prakrathi Product Pvt. Ltd. has well developed electrical

department. It has highly qualified manager and operator. It has

two generators. One is 63KVA-85AMP capacity, other one is

180KVA-250AMP capacity. The electric power transfer to

reactor motor, drier, steam driers, pulverize, and lightning.

they marketing in India, 70% of herbal product they are exporting to

abroad such as Italy, Australia, USA, England etc.

They manufacture honey, they buy Honey from local area and also

buying the row honey from other state such as Andra Pradesh, Punjab,

Gujarath etc. Company has a tie up with Himalaya Company. It has no

brand name in the marke, Himalaya company has good name in the

India and abroad. It has good market share in the market

Quantitative assets :- It means the organisation should have adequate

number of people required to carry on or perform all the activities of the

organization.

Qualitative assets :- It means the people should possess required

knowledge competence, skill and abilities to handle their task efficiently

and effectively

In other words, Human Resource means aggregate of the

Knowledge, skill, experience and health of employees working in any

organization. So, the study of resources occupies unique positions in the

resource setup of any country.

During the study these were the following findings in relation to the perception and satisfaction of customer towards ayurvedic medicine

Users :- the users of Prakruti Ayurvedic medicine are minimum compared to other Ayurvedic medicine producing companies.

Feature :- customer prefer a particular Ayurvedic medicine depending upon its quality and its diseases healing ability. Less importance is given to its price and availability

Amount:- customers spend no more than Rs 50 on Ayurvedic medicines when it is of other company but in case of Prakruti Ayurvedic medicine they spend between Rs 50 & 200

Company :-Himalaya Drug Company & Dabur India Ltd are the two companies which are commonly preferred by large number of people in their day to day life

After the study the following suggestion are important to an Ayurvedic medicine producing company.

Prakruti Products Pvt Ltd is ranked 5th by the customers in and around Ankola & Karwar. Doctors are the person who influences the customers to buy Prakruti Ayurvedic medicine. There fore the company should advertisement it products and improve its popularity.

The Ayurvedic medicine producing company should concentrate on its product quality and disease healing ability as it is given more importance by the customers

Prakruti Products Pvt Ltd is concentrating more on its production sector and manufacturing plant which is engaged in production of Ayurvedic medicines for other major companies such as Dabur and Himalaya. Thus the company should also concentrate on increasing its sales of its own products in and around Ankola & Karwar. It should also concentrate in marketing its product throughout the state by doing proper advertisement because most of the people don’t know about the Prakruti Products.
