  • STUDENT GOVERNMENT

  • Student Council is an elected organization of students dedicated to improving the school for the benefit of all students. The Student Council assists in the planning and organization of all major student activities including Homecoming, Spirit Day, and the Follies. It is open to all students. Meetings are held after school. Meeting dates and times are published in the school calendar. Election of officers is held in the spring. Advisor: Mr. Dan Tesoro 488-9630

Class Boards promote school and class spirit and represent the students of the grade. They also plan activities such as the Senior Prom and Junior Dinner-Dance, purchase of class rings, dances, Homecoming Parade, and Spirit Day activities. Class Boards are open to all students in the grade who want to contribute their time and ideas. Elections of class officers are held in the spring, except for the 7

th grade elections, which are held in October.

Participation on the Class Board instills a sense of responsibility, leadership, and individual growth through involvement in class and school activities. The Class Boards meet on Wednesdays after school.

We take pride in our co-curricular program at Sewanhaka High School. Participation adds another dimension to the high school experience, creating treasured memories.

  • It also provides an opportunity for students to learn skills and competencies which will help them become competitive in college, career, and life in general. These activities:

    Give our students Purpose

    Teach our students Responsibility

    Enhance feelings of Involvement

    Require commitment and Dedication

Encourage us to strive for Excellence
