a. Open Internet Explorer or any other web browser and enter the URL https://ilponline.niitnguru.com/ILPOnline/login.aspx

b. The following sign in window appears. Enter the username and password provided by the school and click on the login button. If the username or password is incorrect, please check with your school administrator.

c. On successfully logging, the user is redirected to the following screen.

a. In order to view the features of the Interactive Classroom Plus for your respective class, click on the My Content menu on the left hand side, the user would be taken to the respective product page which is explained below

b. The View screen appears as follows with a drop – down for subjects available for that class.

c. On selecting Subject from the dropdown the respective chapters are listed along with the respective features for each chapter as depicted in the screenshot below:-

3. Lesson The feature contains information about the lesson plan, introduction of the chapter, etc. Clicking on

lesson icon would take the user to the below screen. It has menu on the left hand side. Each of the menu items are as explained below.

d. There are five features with each chapter:-

a. Getting Started - would contain the following submenus, clicking on any of the sub – menu items would open the respective window. Each of the sub – menus are explained below :-

i. Objectives: This explains the objective that a learner is supposed to achieve post going through this chapter

ii. Introduction : It introduces the chapter before the real content is started iii. Summary :- A short brief note of the chapteriv. References: - Provides some relevant sources of information with respect to chapter along

with citations

b. Assessment

i. Challenging Problems – it provides some interesting problems related to the chapter in order for the student to check their understanding

ii. Reinforcement – it provides some reinforcement questions related to the chapter

c. Curiosity Corner

i. Frequently Asked Questions - Standard questions that are generally asked by students while learning that topic

ii. Fascinating Facts - About - Some interesting facts w.r.t chapter.iii. Misconceptions and Exception – General misconceptions related to the chapter

d. Explore

i. Real-Life Applications: it explains the application of the chapter in real life

4. Content This feature allows the user to access the digital content related to the respective chapter

a. In order to access the content, the user should click on the content icon on the main screenb. On clicking the icon, a screen appears with the logo of NIIT Nguru while the content loads

c. Once the content is loaded, it would list the topics in the respective chapter

d. Navigation through content - Various Navigation Buttons given in the content helps user to navigate through the content. Refer below screenshot to see action button and there functionalities.

e. There are various features that are embedded in the content, such as Automate, Interact, and Apply etc. Let us see each feature and how to use them:i. Automate: The Automate feature provides alternate animations for a concept, which gives a

different approach to the same concept. The Automates are supported by voice-over. ii. The Automate link appears on the bottom of the left hand side of the core content screen.

iii. Clicking on Automate a new screen will open with an animation supported by voice over. “Automates” are supported by navigation button to help browsing.

iv. Interact - The Interact feature of core content allows teachers and students to interact with the content, thereby enabling them to experience the cause and effect. Interact are the additional content available in the core content video.

v. The Interact link appears at the bottom on the left hand side of the core content screen.

vi. The Interact link opens an interactive module or a java applet in a new window. vii. Depending on the concept, a set of variable parameters are made available to interact with

the content to create causes and effects. It will help in clarifying different aspects of the concept.

viii. Apply - The Apply feature is similar to the Interact feature. Apply Link is available in few Math’s content as an Interactive Geometer Sketchpad sketches .

ix. The Apply is linked to a readymade GSP Sketch. When the user clicks on the Sketch, a dialogue box opens up. (Note: The user can selectively open or save the sketch as per the requirement).

f. Digital Library: i. Click on the Digital Library button as depicted in the screenshot below

ii. The following screen appears. It has two menus – Custom & Standard. Clicking on the custom menu would open the digital assets uploaded by the teacher. Clicking on the standard would open up the digital assets provided by NIIT Nguru.

g. Glossary - Glossary contains a list of technical terms with their definition. It provides learners as well as teachers an easy access to the relevant terms

i. Click on the Glossary button.

ii. It opens up the following page

iii. On clicking the Glossary button, a new page opens.iv. Clicking on the link of each word, displays the meaning or definition of that word in the area

below. v. In case the number of words in the screen is more than eight, the user can navigate using Next &

Previous buttons. vi. Alternatively, the word can also be accessed from the Alphabet menu at the top.

5. Weblink These are additional resources from the internet related to the respective chapter.

a. Click on the Web Links button.

C. Following are the features of the web – links :- i. The benefits of the website are displayed on the right-top area.ii. The features available on the specific website are displayed on the right-bottom panel.iii. Web links are displayed as self-organizing links. The highly rated links appear at the

top.

b. Clicking on the Web Link button opens a new screen as depicted in the screenshot below.

6. Quiz This feature can be used by the students to take a quiz on the chapter by themselves.

a. Click on the Quiz icon.b. Select a topic and click on the Start button.

c. The following are the quiz screen components:

i. In order to answer a question, you have to select the checkbox of the chosen optionii. Question Counter: It shows the current question number and total number of available questions

in the quiziii. Question: This is the question asked to the student iv Answer Options: It contains the options available for a question.v. Solution Hint: This is a hint given in order to help the user to answer the question. Hints may be

available only for few of the questions.

vi. Next: Clicking on the Next button would take the user to the next question.

vii. If the answer is correct:

• The correct symbol (green) image appears in front of the answer. • An audio clip plays which says – “That’s Correct” • “That’s Correct” is also displayed on the bottom of the screen in green • Rest of the options are disabled. • User can click the Next button to get the next question. • Explanation of the answer appears below the Next button.

viii. If the answer is wrong:

• The cross symbol (red) image appears in front of the wrong answer. • An audio clip plays which says –“Oops, that’s incorrect” plays • ‘That’s incorrect!!’ is displayed below the Skip button in Red

Note: The user can attempt the same multiple number of times in a quiz.

7. My Infoa. Click on the My Info menu item on the left hand side.b. If you want to update your personal information, click Personal Information. Modify your details and

click the Submit button. Your details will be updated.

8. Change Passworda. Click on Change Password.

b. If you want to change your password, click Password Change and fill the details, and then click the Submit button. Your password will be changed.

9. Assessment User can also assess himself on Practice Plus by clicking the link on student dashboard page.

On clicking, student will be redirected to the page below.

Using NIIT Nguru Practice Plus a. Student can view their performance on dashboard. b. Create and attempt Assessment c. Student can generate practice for themselves for selected chapter and topics.

Login to the User Account. Go to www.practice plus.in. Click on Sign-In. Login with student Username and Password.

10. Student Performance Dashboard

a. On Login user is directed to the Dashboard Page automatically. Else user can go to “Dashboard”. The dashboard is divided in two parts. i. My Assessment Summary: This section gives of overview of student performance in different subject’s basis assessments attempted by the student. ii. My Practice Summary: This section gives of overview of student performance in different subject’s basis practice attempted by the student. b. Click on Subject name to view details of the Assessment.

c. On this page the user can view students’ performance on test assigned by Nguru, School and Self-Assessment separately.

d. Click on the band to display the list of chapters.

11. Create and Attempt AssessmentTo attempt the test the user has to go on Assessment → Select Assessment type All the assessments assigned to the students can be attempted from here. You can find assessments basis who has assigned the assessment. a. Nguru Assessments: Displays the list of all assessment assigned by NIIT Nguru c. School Assessments: Displays the list of all assessment assigned by School. c. Self-Assessments: Displays the list of assessment assigned by student or if parent creates

assessment.

d. For Completed Assessments user can view the marks or else see solutions by clicking in “View Summary” or “View Solutions”.

e. Click on Take a Test to start the assessment.

i. Click on Take a Test. User will move to next page. This page displays information about the paper like: Total questions, Marks and Time Allocated for paper. Click on Start Button to start the test.

ii. Take a test page opens. On the top is displayed the current question which child is attempting against total questions. See the below screen grab for details.iii. Click on End Assessment. Question review screen will open. User can view the assessment status, i.e questions attempted, not attempted and mark for review.

iv. User can navigate back to questions to change answer, mark answer or complete the test. Click on Submit to submit the assessment. User can click on Back to go to question page again.

f. To Create Assessment, go on Assessment Self-Assessment. i. Click on Create Assessment: Parent and student can create assessments for a selected subject and chapter/topic.

ii. Select Subject, Chapter and Topic. Select the start date and time and end date and time of the paper. Click on “Generate Assessment”.

iii. Assessment is created. User can go on Self-Assessment and can attempt the test.

12. Create and View Practice

Practice feature in Practice Plus allows a student to master a concept at their own pace. Practice is uniquely designed to give a combination of subjective and objective questions in selected topic(s). For objective questions students get multiple attempts so that they could possibly reach correct answers.

a. Create Practice i. Go to Practice → Create Practice.

ii. The student is redirected to the below page. Click on Start to start the practice.

iii. Attempt the practice and complete the questions. iv. Practice is the combination of multiple choice questions and subjective questions.v. For subjective questions the user can attempt questions and view the answer.

vi For objective question the user get three attempt to get the correct answer. Basis the attempt number user will the marks. If the answer is correct in o First attempt : 100% , Second attempt ; 50%, Third Attempt : 25%

o After third attempt the answer to multiple choice question is displayed.

vii. Resume/View practice: Go to Practice → View Practice viii. User can pause/stop practice I between and then resume back from where they have left.

The user can click on Stop Practice to pause practice in between.
