What is Byline Funding?
• Process of allocating and setting the Student Activity Fee (SAF)
• Occurs every two years in the Fall
• Coordinated by the Student Assembly based on delegated authority from the President

SAFC Funding
• The Student Assembly Finance Commission (SAFC) allocates funds to smaller, niche organizations on campus
• Funds based on guidelines set by the SA (SAFC Funding Guidelines)
• Meant to be an “objective” process – funded groups comply with written procedures
• Organizations can apply for 5 broad categories of funding
– Administrative, Local Event, Travel Event, Publication, Durable Goods
