Purpose of Student Academic Support PlanWhat is the SASP meant to address?
● Disparities in student achievement existed pre-COVID.● COVID only served to widen instructional gaps in many cases.● Despite numerous challenges, we have a unique opportunity to rethink
available student academic supports (short and long term) to increase student achievement.○ Cross department collaboration to leverage resources. ○ The Student Academic Support Plan (SASP) is codifying our approach to
addressing the instructional gaps.

SASP Phase 1 High Priority Deliverables
1. Expand SBT and MTSS process of identification and intervention during the school day and extended time
2. Continue to identify students and school to expand targeted tutorials through June 2021

Summer Acceleration AcademiesGoals
● Leverage federal educational support funds to address learning loss as a result of COVID-19 while accelerating student learning to close pre-existing achievement gaps
● Engage students with unique learning experiences in arts, music, physical education, STEM activities, and project-based learning
● Students will leave the summer acceleration programs more prepared for success in the upcoming grade level and will be exposed to enrichment activities

Transportation
● Bus transportation will be provided for students in all summer programs
● Students will be identified in SIS under the Summer School Tab● Similar to the school year, parents will be able to log on to the
portal to receive their summer school bus information● In addition, schools will have this information in Transintranet as
well as SIS so parents can contact the school

School Food Service● Breakfast and Lunch provided free to students
at summer school sites and summer camp locations
● All summer school sites will be open on Thursdays for grab-and-go meal distribution (7 days worth of breakfast and lunch) for those students not attending a summer program or summer camp
● Some summer camp locations may need to be open for grab-and-go meals as well.
