The Work of
UK architecture consists of variety of architectural styles. England became the centre of island architecture, but a significant role in the international history of architecture has a unique style of Ireland, Scotland, Wales. Although there are examples of prehistoric and classical building, the British architectural history begins with the first Anglo-Saxon Christian church, built soon after the arrival of Augustine of Canterbury to Britain in 597 samples of Norman architecture found in the XI century across the UK and Ireland.

Prehistoric times
Since prehistoric
times, preserved
megalithic tombs,
which belong to the
Neolithic. Among the
most famous buildings
of the II millennium
BC. - Ritual complex of
Stonehenge. Huge
boulders in conjunction
with a special system
creates an unusual
ensemble with the
surrounding landscape
near the city of
Salisbury, 130
kilometers south-west
of London.
OxfordOxford - a city
of towering
spiers, famous
worldwide for
its university
and history.
For over 800
years, it has
been home to
royalty and
scholars.
Bath
City of Bath was
founded by the
Romans in 43 the
birth of Christ. The
Romans called it
Aquae Sulis, but all
is not casual,
because it was a
city-spa! This is
not just a randomly
chosen place for
the construction of
the city, there is
the river Avon and
being the only
natural hot springs
in England.
The Wembley National Stadium
The new Wembley
Stadium was
opened in 2007,
four years after
the demolition of
the old stadium
"Wembley". The
new stadium
holds 90,000
spectators and is
the second
largest capacity
stadium in
Europe. It plays
home matches
England national
football team.
Millennium Bridge
This is the first
pedestrian
crossing over the
River Thames in
central London
for a century,
thus opening a
new milestone in
time and the new
millennium,
because the
bridge was
opened June 10,
2000.
