Special Thanks to Our Electronic Givers

Holy Cross Parish would like to thank the families who are currently giving electronically. You may not see these

fellow parishioners place an envelope in the basket every week, but their consistent giving does not go unnoticed in

our parish office. Each month our parish receives a steady

and predictable stream of income from those donors who have made the commitment to give to God first by having

a designated contribution automatically transferred to our parish through our Online Giving Program If you would

like to learn more about this easy, safe and secure way of giving, please contact Lorraine Loomis at 815-538-6151.

Don’t worry about tomorrow because the very same

Heavenly Father who takes care of you today will have the same thought tomorrow and always. . . What does a

child in the arms of such a Father have to fear? Be as children, who hardly ever think about their future as they

have someone to think for them. They are sufficiently

strong just by being with their father. —Fr Padre Pio

Church Cleaning

We will be cleaning our church for Confirmation on Saturday, October 14th after the 8:00am Mass. If you would like to clean before the 14th there will be a sign up board in the Sacristy of the church. Make sure

you mark off what you did so we don’t do it twice. We ask all who can, men and women, to help, as everything is scrubbed down and cleaned. Please bring your own bucket and rags. The more help we have, the lighter the load for everyone. Attention to the Confirmation Class of 2018, to help clean the church is a good way to earn your Confirmation Service hours.
