1.8 CONNECTIONS TO MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT
A. HEATING, VENTILATING, AIR CONDITIONING AND PLUMBING EQUIPMENT SHALL BE FULLY CONNECTED ELECTRICALLY AND READY FOR OPERATION.
B. PROVIDE POWER WIRING TO AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT, HEATERS, FANS AND WATER HEATERS UNDER THIS DIVISION.
C. AIR CONDITIONING TEMPERATURE CONTROL AND INTERLOCK WIRING SHALL BE FURNISHED AND INSTALLED AS PART OF DIVISION 23 WORK UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED.
D. OTHER MOTOR CONTROL SHALL BE INDIVIDUAL DEVICES FURNISHED WITH MOTORS; INSTALLED AND WIRED UNDER DIVISION 26.
E. INDIVIDUAL OVERCURRENT PROTECTIVE DEVICES NOT FACTORY INSTALLED IN MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT SHALL BE FURNISHED AND INSTALLED UNDER THIS DIVISION.

B. WHERE LOAD IS BEING ADDED TO AN ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE DATA IN ACCORDANCE WITH NEC 220.87 – DETERMINING EXISTING LOADS.
C. PLAN INSTALLATION OF NEW WORK AND CONNECTIONS TO EXISTING WORK TO ENSURE MINIMUM INTERFERENCE WITH REGULATION OPERATION. ALL SYSTEM SHUTDOWNS AFFECTING
OTHER AREAS SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH THE OWNER.
D. DISCONNECT, REMOVE, OR RELOCATE ELECTRICAL MATERIALS AS NOTED AND AS REQUIRED BY CHANGES IN CONSTRUCTION.
E. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CUT, CHASE AND REPAIR WALLS, FLOORS, AND CEILINGS NECESSARY FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THIS WORK. NO DRILLING OR CUTTING OF CONCRETE BEAMS,
JOISTS, OR STRUCTURAL STEEL, NOR WELDING TO STRUCTURAL STEEL, SHALL BE PERMITTED, EXCEPT WHEN DULY AUTHORIZED BY THE ARCHITECT ENGINEER.
F. RELOCATE EXISTING ELECTRICAL WORK AS NOTED ON THE DRAWINGS AND REQUIRED FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION.
G. EXERCISE CARE IN THE REMOVAL AND STORAGE OF EXISTING EQUIPMENT TO BE REUSED. EQUIPMENT SHALL BE CLEANED AND TOUCHED-UP PRIOR TO PROJECT COMPLETION.

A. UPON COMPLETION OF ALL ELECTRICAL WORK, CONTRACTOR SHALL TEST FOR GROUNDS AND SHORTS TO ENSURE PROPER OPERATION OF ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT. REPAIR OR
REPLACE FAULTY EQUIPMENT AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER. GUARANTEE FOR ONE YEAR AFTER FINAL ACCEPTANCE BY OWNER OF ALL WORKMANSHIP AND MATERIALS
FURNISHED.
B. ELECTRICAL ROOMS SHALL BE LEFT NEAT AND CLEAN AFTER CONSTRUCTION.
C. PROVIDE A COMPLETE SET OF AS BUILT DOCUMENTS REFLECTING FIELD CHANGES FOR RECORD PURPOSES.
3.9 PREMIUM TIME WORK
