Stringfellow Going Tobacco‐free  on July 1, 2011  The tobacco-free workplace and environment policy has been developed and is going to MEC on Friday, May 13th. This policy is being announced almost 2 months in advance in order to give smokers and those using other types of tobacco products time to adapt to its restrictions and to facilitate a smooth transition to a tobacco-free environment. Those employees who use tobacco products and would like to take this opportunity to quit are invited to participate in the cessation program provided by the Alabama Department of Public Health Tobacco Prevention and Control Division. Representatives will be onsite 2 separate days to give employee an opportunity sign up. This program provides free counseling and free nicotine patches (if medically eligible and in counseling).

Visit Alabama Tobacco Quitline online at alabamaquitnow.com or call at 1.800.784.8669.

“Getting 2 Great is so much more than a typical corporate initiative to transform a company’s

culture. Instead, it’s an effort on behalf of every Associate to continually and consistently point us

toward our mission: to enable and provide America’s best local healthcare.”

-Gary Newsome, CEO

Remember, our three guiding principles set thecourse for all we do – as a company and asindividuals. We are servant leaders. We serve our patients, our Associates, ourphysicians, our partners, our communities, and allstakeholders equally. We do the right thing. We are all empowered and expected to do theright thing in every interaction. We don’t settle. We are expected to exceed the expectations ofthose we serve – rather than simply meet me. Westrive to do something “extra”.
