4. Purpose of product:

Street inlet covers are designed for civil engineering, for using with street inlet made of iron or other

materials, located in vehicles traffic area (group of location no. 4 as per PN-EN 124-1:2015-07,

corresponding to D400 load class).

Cover constitutes an alternative for traditional street inlet covers made of iron, steel or ferroconcrete.

The product is allowed to be used in civil engineering facilities in accordance with its purpose, in scope of:

public roads, internal roads, road engineering facilities and railway engineering facilities without restrictions.

5. Description of product:

Street inlet cover is made of polymerconcrete with additional steel frame in place of contact with a street

inlet body in D400 load as per PN-EN 124-1:2015-07. Cover is equipped with steel reinforcement and

composite reinforcement. Cover has got slots for draining off water, and a top surface of cover has anti-slip

elements. As a standard the cover is manufactured in natural color of polymerconcrete.

Standard street inlet covers are of dimensions: length 500mm – 600mm, width 350mm – 400mm, leap every

5 mm. Depth of embedding for a street inlet cover is 70mm; total height 100 mm. Water drain off area is

0,0543 m2.

SYTEC street inlet cover is marked as follows : two letters “KP” + dimensions confirmed in mm + load class

“D400”. Example : cover in D400 load class of dimensions 590x390x100mm of natural color –

KP590.390.100D.

6. Principles for installation:

Street inlet covers are assembled in iron inlet cover bodies. Dimensions of cover have to be selected in such

a way that maximum total clearance is up to 7 mm as per the norm PN-EN 124-1:2015-07.

There is possibility for purchase a street inlet cover type KP585.385.100D together with iron body.
