STREET CAUSE-VBIT

TASK -1 (Medical Camp) Medical Camp was conducted at Ghousekonda Village, Nalgonda District where over 250

people were examined by the doctors from Hyderabad. The task was conducted on 07-07-2013

from 9am to 3pm, in the village. We thank all our donors and volunteers for extending their

helping hand.

TASK -2 (Lunch Drive at Orphanage)

At Smile Foundation, Alkapuri, Kothapet, Hyderabad where around 30 children with no parents

live in a small house, were actively been participated in the Drawing Competition conducted by

us. It was conducted on 21-07-2013 from 12:00 pm to 3pm. Also, lunch was provided for the

children and right after it, was the prize distribution of drawing competition. We have noticed

that there were no mosquito-killers in the house, and then we decided to provide them with some.

SC VBIT - Task 3 - EYE CHECK-UP

Street Cause – VBIT conducted a free Eye check-up camp at

Gouskonda village, near Pochampally, Nalgonda dist.150 people

were impacted during the task. The task was conducted on 2nd

August 2013.

SC VBIT - Task 4 - LUNCH DRIVE

Street Cause – VBIT organized lunch drive at Sree Maruthi Old

age Home, Kothapet. The task was held on the occasion of

Independence Day i.e. 15th August, 2013. Volunteers interacted

with the elderly people who spoke about The Indian culture and

heritage.

Lunch was served by the board members and volunteers present

at the task venue.

Total expenditure: Rs.3500/- (lunch)

SC VBIT - Task 5 - Awareness Drive on Use of Clay Ganesha Idols

A Awareness Drive was conducted on 06-09-2013 in the VBIT Campus where all the students and faculty members took a pledge that they would use Clay Ganesha Idols. Signatures and hand prints of the students and faculty members were collected as they extended their support towards Eco-friendly Ganesha.

TASK 6 – SAHRUDAYA

Street Cause VBIT has taken up a long term teaching project to orphan girls named

"Sahrudaya". Teaching session was held at “Bala Tejasu girls orphanage”. 70

orphan girls were impacted by this session. We taught English & Maths to the

girls.A session on good habits & hygiene was held. Books, exam pads & stationary

items were distributed to the children. Drawing competition was also held.

Awareness Day (Tasks 7-16)

Street Cause VBIT took an initiative of "Awareness Day" on 20-10-2013.

Ten tasks were conducted in the city based on Awareness. The list of tasks are as

follows:

1.Awareness on Basic Yoga for Old age people. At Old age Help Line And Old

Age Home,rathifile bus stop opp lane, secundrabad.

2. Awareness on Basic first-aid. First-Aid kits were donated. At CAP BOWL

ORPHANAGE, #12-1-1450, Shanthi Nagar, North Lalaguda, Tarnaka, Hyderabad.

3. Awareness on Hygiene. Atlas books were donated to 50students.

4. 50Saplings were distributed to the residents in Nallakunta.

5. Donation of Inter text books at ANADHA GRUHA,Kothapet.

6. Awareness on Importance of Girl Education & Career opportunities at Govt.

Girls Hostel,Dilsukhnagar.

7. Awareness on Education after 10th Standard at Amma

Foundation,Gaddiannaram,Dilsukhnagar.

8. Fruits Distribution & Displaying Charts on Girl Child at Govt.Maternity

Hospital,Koti. 150people were impacted.

9. Awareness Drive on Ban Plastic and distribution of 100cloth bags at

Dilsukhnagar.

10. Awareness Drive on Safe Driving(wear helmets & seat belts) at Koti.

Task 17 - Donation of Groceries &

Snacks at Lahari Old age home Groceries & Snacks were donated to orphans and Old aged at Lahari Old age

home, Boduppal on 15-12-2013. Meditation was taught to the old aged and

Drawing Competition was held for children. Dr. Amarendar Rao, HOD

Mechanical Engineering, VBIT has donated the groceries and snacks. He had

actively participated in the program.We thank him for his support.

Task -19 - School Painting & Donation of Basic amenities

Street Cause VBIT, GNITS, GRIET divisions have had collaborated and Painted

Govt. Primary School, Gousekonda Village, Nalgonda District and donated them

few basic amenities on 25th December 2013.

Task 20 & 21 – Providing Basic Eminites @Orphanages on

the eve of New Year.

Task 22- Ban of Plastic at Mahandi, Kurnool.

Street Cause VBIT team went to Mahandi, Kurnool Dist. An Ecology Pilgrim

place and officially banned usage of Plastic in Mahandi after the consent with the

local Government authorities on 11-01-2014. Also distributed 1000 cloth bags to

all the shops in the town.

Street Cause – Parinama

Street Cause has taken up largest fundraiser ever in its history for transforming into

permanent impact projects. Street Cause VBIT has raised around Rs.30,000/- . This

amount will be used for impact day where permanent impact projects are executed

scheduled during 20th May, 2014.
