The car body and its challenges within the overall vehicle conceptThe expert conference on “Strategies in Car Body Engineering” is an annual examination of the essential issues surrounding the development, plan-ning and production of car bodies around the world. It affords participants a unique, overarching view of the key topics in car body engineering that have to be addressed today and tomorrow.

Top-notch presentations and exclusive discussions with representatives from leading OEMs and selected key suppliers, plus presentations on the latest car body models, combine to make this conference the second most important event in the Automotive Circle calendar after EuroCarBody.

In 2012 alone, some 190 senior international car body experts from Europe, Asia and America gathered in Bad Nauheim to discuss specific potentials for success in car body engineering.

Key topics of the 2013 conference\\ Strategic importance of the car body for the overall vehicle concept

\\ New car body structures, innovative body concepts and pathfinding architectures

\\ Lightweight design concepts in transition – impact and requirements of modern multi-material hybrid construction

\\ Flexibility and standardisation strategies in the production process for new platforms

\\ The challenge of “global car body engineering”
