Strategic Outsourcing Refining Business Dimensions
The practice of software outsourcing has been widely discussed and anticipated, and is used in most of
the industries and business branches. Technology market has been captivated by the Smartphones, and
the time has come to enhance business viability with mobile software. This outsourcing aspect is the
most prominent choice in terms of quality and cost involved. Just like any other business, this may be
deliberate as outsourcing suffers inevitable risks, which can be prevented, delegated or subdued.
Strategic outsourcing is not about meeting tactical objectives of performance via service level

learn and then relearn. This is makes the overall operating relatively expensive and considerable
damage takes place in the beginning. Based on expert experience, eventually a consumer will become
more interested in “what” rather than “why” and as a supplier the pain will be felt from consumer side.
Governance – As you go higher in this field, during initial days of software outsourcing, the concept
of governance is never taken so seriously. Software outsourcing is seen as a lending of service, which
makes the overall experience highly viable. The increase in gap at the operational level increases due to
lack of relationship at top level. The relevance of proper governance is eventually understood by
people. Most often, officials have the tendency to measure IT performance and not the business
performance. The strategic relationships at the top level define the success of software outsourcing.
Alignment – Most strategic outsourcing deals are based on long term. Usually officials feel to realize
that strategic outsourcing lives beyond existing business cycle and is a long term arrangement. During
strategic outsourcing tenure, business will go through changes and the agreement must have flexibility
to accommodate those changes.
Innovation – Strategic outsourcing providers have been putting out services that offer innovative
products. They also go to lengths before the contract is signed up but focus on keeping the lights on
during the early part of the relationship. Consideration must be kept at bay for the strategic outsourcing
which is not for keeping the lights on for operations, but for creating value for the customers, bringing
deeper engagement and providing consumer strategic depth.
Overall, software outsourcing has come a long way as more and more enterprises and organisations
have started to put forward strategic alliances so as to manage their resources and portray enhanced
functionality. It is important to note that one has to keep certain aspect in mind, which can be
detrimental, and can lead to overall structural in balance.
