Graduate Certificates (24 credits/6 courses)Credits earned in a certificate program can be applied toward a master’s degree in Strategic Human Resource Management. Graduate certificate students will take four required concentra-tion courses and then either select two courses from the further studies option or select two courses offered in any of the other program concentrations, program foundation courses, or the research course.

The Human Resource Management and De-velopment master’s degree concentration and graduate certificate prepare students to integrate the HR function with strategic orga-nizational goals by executing business strat-egy through the development of talent man-agement programs. Students learn how to evaluate, diagnose, and solve organizational change and issues, as well as meet organiza-tional objectives through use of current com-munication and consulting tools.

Led by professional practitioners who work in human resource management, classes are geared toward HR professionals seeking the

knowledge, strategies, theories, tools, and techniques necessary to effectively manage a workforce. HR professionals must be aware of key 21st century and world issues affecting organizations and human resource manage-ment.
