Editor’s Notes I’mmmm baaack! Thank you John Richardson for giving me a sabbatical from doing the newsletter. I am going to do it until the end of the year and then someone else will have the opportunity. I have enjoyed doing the newsletter when I’ve had the time. And everyone has been great about contributing articles. But it is time consuming and unfortunately, I don’t have the time . It makes me wish I were retired!!! If you have some time please think about taking over the newslet-ter. It is actually fun and I have never had to worry about accumu-lating enough material for an issue. And if someone doesn’t step up to the plate, we won’t have a newsletter. Give me a call and I’ll get you started!! Kerry L. Vickers Editor at Large

And Now A Word From the Prez ……..

As you’ve read on the previous pages, Club member Mike Grosso has agreed to host and or-

ganize this years JCNA Sanctioned concours at his Facility in Ladson SC. Mike is hoping this will

be the Club social event of the year and THEN a concours. Yes, it is a JCNA sanctioned event

complete with competent judges but first of all it is a social event. We have tried to keep the

cost down so it will be affordable for everyone, so even if you don’t have a car to compete

please come and partake of the refreshments and see lots of British cars. That’s what members

of car clubs are suppose to do!!

And if possible, please volunteer to help us with either planning or on-site help the day before and the day of the concours. If you can’t help, please show your car. Historically, we have had more entrants from other clubs than our own. What’s wrong with that picture??? Please participate one way or the other. AND the entry fee is only $25.00. It’s time to elect Club officials, again. I have been President for two terms and I was Vice President for a half term before that. We need new blood to jump start our stalled Club. Please call or email Julie Beech with your nominations so we can get ballots printed up for mailing before our elections in December. We need a president, vice presidents and a Club secretary. If you’re a Club member, then you’re eligible to run for office and help your Club. Don’t be shy! Kerry L. Vickers, President

1982 XJ6

Red exterior, Biscuit interior. If you were at the 2001 Euro in Greenville, I'm Patrick Wilson the general manager of the Embassy Suites Hotel where most of the attendees stayed, you might remember seeing this car. What makes this car a bit rare is that I am the original owner and this car has been pampered for 22 years. For example, no one has ever smoked in this car, not once. It is in excellent condition and I have all the maintenance records from day one. I had it repainted and new leather done in 1999. The original carpet is still like new. The body is almost perfect with no door dings. The car has just over 100K miles and the engine is sound. It's really a beautiful car, and I know it is going to kill me to sell it. If you're looking for a premium Series III XJ6, this is it! Price is $9,900.00. Please call (864) 281-0630 and leave a message or e-mail [email protected]. Pictures available on request. (05/01)
