STORYTELLER PAUL Paul is a member of our Rock Steady Boxing class that started in October 2017. Paul has had Parkinson’s Disease for approximately 22 years. He found that taking the right medications at the right time, eating healthy and exercising regularly is very important to keep him moving. The exercises in the Rock Steady Boxing class help him physically as well as mentally knowing he is doing something that helps his overall fitness plus he gets to do it with people that are fighting the same disease he is, Parkinson’s. His goal is to keep exercising to stay mobile. The class is for all people in all stages of Parkinson’s. Whether mobile or not we have exercises to meet everyone’s needs. Paul challenges you to come volunteer and help at one of the classes. It’s more fun exercising as a group than by yourself. “There is no cure for Parkinson’s, but there is HOPE. The Y is striving to help all of us improve our physical and mental health.” Thank you Paul for being a STORYTELLER for the YMCA!
