Streamland

Written Concept

Streamland is an app that combines four main streaming services of Foxtel, Amazon, Netflix and Stan and placing them under one service provider. You no longer need multiple accounts or logins to stream your favourite TV shows and movies. Streamland is also a social app. People can chat with their friends about what they are watching or view any show recommendations friends have made. You can select your favourite shows which are easily accessed in the favourites section. You can also see what is trending across all services, and the search bar will help you find any show in the library. Streamland makes entertainment easy by placing services under a simple to use interface.

Script

The story begins with a text message. A man picks up his phone and reads the message. It’s about watching a new show. He is out of town, so he doesn’t have easy access to a show he is excited to watch. Also if he were at home, he doesn’t have a subscription to that service because he can’t afford all the different streaming packages. His friend has a solution for him. A new app called Streamland. The story then takes us on a user point of view journey starting with finding the app in the app store, downloading and creating a new account.

We can see the users thoughts as he ponders the pain points such as being locked into a contract for a certain time and not being able to chose which streaming services you want. He also weights the benefits of the app allowing him one login to access all his streaming services and beeping able to chat with friends, see what show they have been watch and any recommendations they make.

We then see the streaming service in action, starting with the main page and all the options available to users, such as favourite shows, trending shows, friend recommendations and chat and search options. We also see the specific layout of the main page options so users get a view of the interface.

The final scene involves two friends talking via the Streamland chat option about shows they have been watching. The final shot asks the question, what are you watching? Before closing out to the Streamland title and a fireworks display.
