Falling Action
Major events after the conflict
Actions leading to the end of the story
Tone
The writer’s attitude toward his or her subject.
Point of View
The angle from which a story is told
Dialogue
When two or more characters have a conversation in a story
Theme
The message about life or human nature that is “hidden” in the story
PROTAGONIST
Main Character; usually the “good guy” but not always
ANTAGONIST
The character in conflict with the protagonist; usually the bad guy
Round Character
They can recognize, change and adapt to situations. They are complex.
Dynamic
A character who changes (develops) during the story, usually a result of resolving a central conflict or facing a major crisis
FLAT
A character with one personality. Usually can be summed up in one sentence
Static
A character who undergoes little or no inner change; a character who does not grow or develop.
