Introduction

122 Fold and Say ® Auditory & Story Comprehension contains 122 shortstories to improve students’ reading comprehension, listening comprehension,and reasoning skills. The stories have two levels: Level One for beginnersand Level Two for advanced practice. Copy each page and fold into a 4-pagebooklet. Auditory & Story Comprehension also includes a parent letter andthree award certificates, plus a bonus CD-ROM with the same black andwhite pages as the book, so you can print these pages from your computer.

Level One contains 61, three-sentence short stories. Students listen tothe story as a helper reads it, or they read it themselves. Then, they answerthree story comprehension questions, and talk, draw, or write about acommon situation related to the story.

Level Two contains 61, four-sentence short stories. Students listento/read the story, and then select the main idea of the story from a choice ofthree answers. (An answer key is in the back of the book.) Three storycomprehension questions follow. The extension activities give students acreative way to talk, draw, or write about a situation related to the story.
