Lesley STEAM • steam.lesley.edu • 2015 Stop Motion: Color Mixing Monsters Explore the color wheel through creating your own stop motion animation using the iPad app MyCreate. Your challenge: Choose 2 primary colors balls of model magic. Design a monster out of each, including googley eyes. Position your monsters on the set to begin. Stop motion process: o Take one starting photo. o Move monsters just a little bit closer to each other. o Take one photo. o Move monsters just a little bit closer to each other. o Take one photo. o Do this until the monsters reach: then slowly mix them together just a tiny bit each photo (make sure to take away their googley eyes so the eyes don’t go inside of them) until they become a secondary color. o Add new googley eyes to your new monster and take a bunch of photos of your new monster dancing! TIP: feel free to move their arms, head, bodies one movement at a time throughout the process to make them more “alive”.

Stop Motion: Color Mixing Monsters
