HS VALIANT KNIGHTS GRAB AND COLLECT
AWARDS IN ROBOTICS According to John Ruskin,
skill is the unified force of
experience, intellect, and passion
in their operation. Thus, these three
essential elements were what
Adriel Angelo Diomampo, Twelfth
Grader, Cedryck Glendale Gerard
Guda, Tenth Grader, and Darlito
Jabin Guamos, Ninth Grader,
combined together to reap
awards in the TechCon 3.0
Robotics Competition held at De
La Salle Araneta University,
Malabon City last March 23.
Dimatatac, Hernandez make waves in a City Swim Challenge Kirsten Allyson Dimatatac, Second Grade
Valiant Knight, and Jacian Caerwyn Hernandez,
Fourth Grade Valiant Knight, turned the pool into
their own playground as they collected several
Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals in the 1st Beverly
Rose Dimacuha Swim Challenge held at the
Batangas City Sports Center last March 30.
Angelo, Cedryck, and Jabin competed against other High School
students from different schools in the National Capital Region (NCR), including
De La Salle Araneta, De La Salle Zobel, Adamson University, Lyceum of the
Philippines Laguna, University of Asia and the Pacific, STI, and a lot more.
Angelo emerged as the Champion in the Grab and Collect Game. In
addition to that, he also won Best in Robot Design defeating 15 other
competitors in the same category. Moreover, both Cedryck and Jabin placed
Fourth in the Grab and Collect Game and SumoBot, respectively.
Congratulations, Angelo, Cedryck, and Jabin. Thank you very much to the
people who were behind these successes: Sir King Paul Autor, Sir RJ De Castro,
Miss Jeannette Asi, Peter MacIndeor, and Adam De Chavez.

the upcoming important events and activities of the
school.
On May 3, 2019 SSIS students will
experience the right to suffrage as they cast their votes for the student leaders who will govern the Student Council for the year 2019-2020.
As a simulation of the real elections, the candidates will be given a chance to discuss their platform during the Town Hall Meeting on April 29. The meeting and the campaign materials will enable the students to know their best bet. On the day of the elections, students will cast their votes using our E-lection system. As a proof of having cast their votes, their fingers will be marked with an indelible
ink.
Campaign period starts on April 22 and ends on April 30. Here are the guidelines:
A candidate may be a part of a political party or may run independently. GUIDELINES FOR CAMPAIGN MATERIALS/ACTIVITIES
Campaign materials may be made of paper and tarpaulins. Allowed sizes are as follows:
a. 3.5 x 2 inches – business card size b. 8.5 x 11 inches – short bond paper size,
maximum of 8 pieces c. 22.5x 28.25 inches – cartolina size, maximum of
4 pieces only for individual candidates and 2 election party
Give-aways such as t-shirts, fans, bookmarks, button pins, baller, key chains, candies, cookies, food and beverage, and the like are strictly prohibited and will be confiscated if used. This is to eliminate the connotation of vote-buying among our kids.
All materials for posting must be approved and signed by the Student Services Head. The bulletin boards, hall area, cafeteria, and cafeteria walkway may accommodate your campaign materials provided that you will use masking tape in posting.
A candidate may wear his/her own button, an ID or a name tag as his/her campaign material, but he/she is not allowed to distribute them to the supporters to wear. An independent candidate will be allowed 4 posters instead of 2. This is to compensate for the lack of opportunity to do massive campaign as it is the advantage of candidates who are running under party leadership.
In the Town Hall Meeting, the candidates are allowed to present their platforms or campaign propaganda using Powerpoint. The presentation is limited to a maximum of 10 minutes for a political party and 5 minutes for an independent candidate.
ALL CAMPAIGN PARAPHERNALIA MUST BE TAKEN DOWN ON OR BEFORE 2nd DAY, OF
APRIL 2019.
