WELCOME TO STONELEIGHTHIS is Stoneleigh – the world’s largest kit car show. Thefact it takes place in the UK, the home of the specialistsports car, is something we should all be proud of.

This is the other side of the UK motor industry andStoneleigh is the kit car scene’s showcase event. Hereyou’ll find nearly every serious kit car manufacturer andwe’re expecting lots of new launches. Companiesdebuting new launches include Dakar, DNA, Imperial,Kellforms, Deronda, MNR, MR2 Kits and SDR. Amongstthem, you’ll find everything from track day cars to an off-roader and an Edwardian style pick-up.

And don’t miss the hundreds of accessory stands,both outside and inside, that sell everything the carbuilder could want. Whether it’s a nut and bolt or acomplete performance engine, you’re bound to be ableto find it here.

Westfield Sports Cars will be putting on an amazingslalom experience in a dedicated area just off Avenue M.For a small fee, you can even book yourself a place in thepassenger seat, as the company’s hugely experiencedtest driver puts the car through its paces. For rathermuddier action, Dakar will be in full swing on the 4-wheel-drive circuit.

Of course, outside is dominated by the clubs, and it’sthis extraordinary spectacle that givesStoneleigh its special atmosphere. Ifthere was a kit made, then there willalmost certainly be a club to support itand, with over 80 clubs havingbooked stands at Stoneleigh, thechances are you’ll find it here. Withover 4000 cars expected, it’s going tobe a bumper display. Seeing the carswill inspire you to build a car, whiletheir enthusiastic owners willencourage you too.

But if you don’t fancy building yourown from scratch, then take a walkover to the Cars For Sale hall (at thebottom of 6th Street near Gate 5) andyou’ll find a diverse array of muchloved cars up for sale.

And for those of you who make

Stoneleigh a weekend experience, the bars andrestaurant will be open on both evenings. On Sundayevening there is also entertainment in the Warwick Hall,off 6th Street - just follow the noise!

So there you have it. Stoneleigh is a kit carphenomenon. It takes an enormous amount oforganisation, but it always rewards us with a huge senseof satisfaction and pride. Enjoy the show.

Engine packages are available for both front and mid engine configurations withsolutions for engine mountings, transmissions adapters, flywheels and clutches, fuelsystem, air induction, exhausts, catalysts and 'ready to go' ECU engine managementwith purpose designed wiring harnesses for easy installation.
