STONE AGE DAY

Mammoth HuntThe most exciting thing about the mammoth hunt is starting it.

On the way we saw mammoth tracks. They were huuuuuuuuuge.

I tugged and pulled my way up the big steep hill.

I was so hot I could have died.

Finally we got there. When I looked at the mammoth I felt like I did it all for nothing because it was only a toy.

Fire MakingEmma, Cate, Amelia, Breea, Sam and me went to collect cabbage leaves. They were for fire lighters.

Karl demonstrated how to make a fire.

Shae showed us how to use a flint.

We watched our fire as we ate our lunch.

Cave paintingI found a rock and started painting.

I tried again but it still didn’t look too flash.

When I was done, it looked horrible……….

……compared to Emma’s.

Spear ThrowingIt was so hard to get the target.

I tried and I tried to get the target but I just couldn’t. I got there in the end.

I ended up getting the mammoth’s foot.

I was so tired I could hardly throw.
