WORK EXPERIENCE Communications Intern WCCO-TV (CBS Television) – Minneapolis, MN May 2014-August 2014 Displayed excellent event planning skills through large events held by the television station, including the Minnesota State Fair, one of the largest attended state fairs in the nation. Wrote and edited dozens of press releases regarding local news coverage. Demonstrated the ability to work in an unpredictable and fast paced work environment. Educated guests with historical and informational studio and facility knowledge. Student Supervisor January 2011-December 2014 UW-Eau Claire Student Service Center – Eau Claire, WI Provided excellent customer service by multitasking in face-to-face interaction as well as communicating over the phone regarding sales and basic information. Managed and balanced a monetary vault worth over $25,000. Improved knowledge of fellow colleagues with work regulations and guidelines. Oversaw16 student cashiers and event staff while managing multiple tasks during work shifts. Residential Housing Specialist September 2011-December 2014 UW-Eau Claire Housing and Residence Life Staff – Eau Claire, WI Adapted unique multitasking abilities in a hectic work environment. Maintained a professional, fun atmosphere for those living in residential halls. Learned how to work with a team in a diverse, professional setting to meet common goals. Overnight Camp Counselor (Seasonal) June 2011- August 2013 YMCA Camp St. Croix – Hudson, WI Strengthened team work between other colleagues by working in a unique setting.
