Web ECOS User Manual
Stocks
Quotation Displays the real time stock quotations of the stocks listed under Bursa Malaysia. You can refer to the color representation description in Appendix A attached at the end of this User Guide. The quotations are grouped/categorized into various groups for ease of reference by you e.g. you may choose to view quotations of the Most Active Counters, Top Gainers, etc. You may also categorize your own stocks into your self customized folder called My Favourites
which will be described further in this documentation.
To view quotations of stocks, select Quotations from the Stock drop down menu Select the preview category

General Info Displays the detailed information regarding a selected stock. You may be able to see the direct deals information, the odd lots information, etc.
To view the general info of a selected stock, select the stock and then select General Info from the Stock drop down menu
You may also select the stock and double click on the selected stock

Trade Detail Displays the all trading/transaction details of the selected stock i.e. the volume involved, the price involved, the transaction type, etc. There are various views for you to choose from to view the trading details of the selected stock i.e. Grouped by Time, Grouped by Time (Chart), etc
Note: Live Quotes utilizes indicators to inform you further available information for each
transaction which you can refer to in Appendix D at the end of this documentation or you may click on the About Indicators icon
The Remarks column also provides further information for each transaction i.e. it
may inform you of continuous buy/sell transactions, new highest price, new lowest price, etc

All Transactions Displays the details of each transaction that has occurred throughout the trading day i.e. from the minute the market opens at 9.00 am until the minute the market closes at 5.00 pm
To view all transactions, select the All Transactions icon You can also use the shortcut key Ctrl + A on your keyboard

Grouped by Time The transaction details of a selected stock is grouped according to the transaction time i.e. every minute of the day that a transaction has occurred and if the minute is selected, you may see on your right the transactions that is done in the selected time.
To view the trade details grouped by time, select the Grouped by Time icon You can also use the shortcut key Ctrl + T on your keyboard

Grouped by Time (Chart) The transaction details of a selected stock is grouped according to transaction time and displayed in a line graph format
When you mouse over the graph you will be able to see the transaction details on your left panel of the screen The chart allows you to see the transactions movement with ease in chart format
To view the trade details grouped by time (chart), select the Grouped by Time (Chart) icon
You can also use the shortcut key Ctrl + C on your keyboard

Grouped by Price The transaction details of a selected stock is grouped according to the price of the stock e.g. there may be transaction purchases that occurred at 1.010, 1.020, 1.030, so all transactions whether buy/sell will be grouped according to the prices that occurred will be displayed when
the selected price is selected
To view the trade details grouped by price, select the Grouped by Price icon You can also use the shortcut key Ctrl + P on your keyboard

Grouped by Volume The transaction details of a selected stock is grouped according to the volume range pre defined i.e. 1 – 99, 100 – 299, 300 – 399 and 1000+.
You can view two charts i.e. Chart by Volume and Chart by Transactions You can also view which volume range has the highest volumes add up in total from the Chart by Volume and you can see which volume range has the most transactions that occur from the Chart by Transactions
To view the trade details grouped by volume, select the Grouped by Volume icon You can also use the shortcut key Ctrl + V on your keyboard

Buy vs Sell The quantity of buy transactions is compared with the quantity of sell transactions for the various price that has occurred during the trading day i.e. the price intervals from the highest price of the day to the lowest price of the day
To view the trade details of buy transactions versus sell transactions, select the Buy vs
Sell icon You can also use the shortcut key Ctrl + B on your keyboard

Odd Lots Info Displays all odd lot transaction request i.e. the buy/sell request, the amount of odd lots requested, the price desired and the status whether the odd lots request is still outstanding or has been matched and settled
To view the odd lots of a selected stock, select the stock and then select Odd Lots
Info from the Stocks drop down menu

Announcement Displays announcements of the selected stock. Whether or not the stock has any latest announcements or not is indicated by the symbols “ * ”, “ *C ”, “ *X ” and “ ! ” beside the Stock Name in the Stock: Quotations screen.
You may refer to the meaning of the symbols in the Appendix attached at the end of this documentation
To view the latest announcements of a selected stock, select the stock and then select Announcement from the Stocks drop down menu or in the Announcement screen, click on the Latest Announcements icon
The latest announcements will be listed at the top according to the latest date and then
time

Select the announcement you want to view by clicking on the listed titles

To view the announcements according to topics, select the Table of Content icon The announcements are separated according to categories

Historical Chart Displays the stock’s price and volume charts over a period in the past. The price chart can be viewed either as a candlestick-chart style or a bar-chart style. The historical data extends as
far back as three years, but you can zoom in on the chart to see a close-up view or zoom out to see more of the time period.
To view the historical chart of a stock, select the stock and then select Historical
Chart from the Stocks drop down menu.
To view the price chart in a candlestick-chart style, click.
To view the price chart in a bar-chart style, click .
To zoom in, click . To zoom out, click .

The transaction price indicator and the transaction type and volume indicator are found
in the ‘Trade Details’ screen under ‘Stock’. To view the details regarding each indicator, click on ‘About Indicator’ as mentioned
before. The descriptions of the indicators are as above.
