Fully Accessible Stockport Town Hall is accessible via a ramp a lift provides full access to all meeting rooms and event spaces; all meeting rooms and the Reception desk are also fitted with a hearing loop

Dedicated and Experienced Event Co-ordinator Our team of experienced Event Co-ordinators provide professional advice and organisation from initial enquiry to event close. In your planning meeting a bespoke floor plan is agreed and drawn with specialist software, so you can visualise your event before the big day

Occupying a third of the area of the Town Hall, the Edwardian Ballroom is a spectacular large and versatile

space, suitable for a huge variety of events.

Both spacious and opulent, natural daylight floods into the Ballroom from 9 stained glass windows.

The great inbuilt stage is suitable for large audiences, while our in house low level staging provides the

opportunity for a bespoke lower key side stage to be built.

Beautiful chandeliers suspended from the vast arched ceiling combined with modern colour changing LED’s

offer a sophisticated lighting solution to suit any occasion.

Marble Staircase

Created with beautiful Sicilian Marble, the Marble Staircase is a unique and versatile

space, adding the ‘Wow’ factor to your event.

The Marble Staircase can be opened as a dramatic entranceway for your guests, leading directly to the Ballroom and Committee Suite

above.

Drinks Receptions and canapes for up to 100 guests is perfect for this area and the stairway

itself is an excellent photo opportunity for group pictures.

The Committee Suite consists of three rooms, which are divided by oak panelled screens. These screens

can be removed to create one large room or the rooms can be hired individually.

Each room has a domed ceiling enriched with

modelled plasterwork and large stained glass windows provide the room with natural daylight. The

Committee Corridor directly outside the suite provides convenient break out space for

refreshments.

Committee Room 1

One of our more intimate spaces, Committee Room 1 is one of three

rooms in the Committee Suite.

Smoked Austrian Oak panelled walls, a marble fireplace and domed ceiling with modelled plasterwork give the room a

distinct character.

The room is lit with large chandeliers and 3 beautiful stained glass windows

provide the space with natural daylight.

The Committee Corridor directly outside the Suite provides convenient break out

Council Chamber

The Council Chamber is a large gallery with front facing fixed

seating for 120 on green leather upholstered seats decorated with

elaborate carvings.

A domed ceiling with modelled plaster work and hanging central chandelier gives the room a richly

decorative effect.

The Chamber is naturally lit by four large semi circular windows

filled with stained glass.

The Committee Corridor directly outside the Suite provides

convenient break out space for refreshments.

They can be divided into two separate rooms or used as one large room.

1858 Room - Vernon House

Based off-site, just less than a mile away from Stockport Town Hall is our exclusive meeting space; Vernon House

in Vernon Park.

We have developed a partnership with Pure Innovations, a Stockport based charity, to encompass a corporate

experience like no other.

You will have the exclusivity of your very own meeting space within an independent venue and access to Pure

Innovation’s quaint café facilities.

We have meeting hire only options, Day Delegate Packages and various other catering options to suit your
