This product eliminates the need for ground tracks and overhead rails. Cantilever sliding gate system consist of the following metal work items: Gate leaf Main equipment tower and covers End post Back support rail All associated rollers, roller brackets and climb protection features. All items are manufactured utilising heavy duty materials. All items are fully seam welded. All steel items are hot dip galvanized after manufacturing and cleaned as required to give a smooth even galvanized finish. The erected height of each gate system is 2150mm above ground (this is flexible and can be up to 3.0 metres). Ground clearance under the gate is 150mm. Climb protection (barbed wire, spikes, pressed spears, electrified wire) can be affixed to the top rail of the gate. Each gate system between the sizes of up to 7.9 metres opening have a gate frame of 89 x 89 x 4 SHS with a gate bottom member and cantilever support beam of 100 x 100 x 6 SHS. For gates between the sizes of 8.0 to 12.0 metres, 200 x 100 x 6 RHS are used for the bottom member and its cantilever support beam. This to give it more stability of larger opening distances. Vertical uprights are to be 25 x 25 x 2 SHS at 150mm centres. The main equipment tower will be made from 89 x 89 x 4 SHS and 1.6mm sheet metal cover-set. The width of each gate opening shall be determined on site and shall cover the entire road width. Australian Content 100% Fully welded Australian made RHS steel is used in the gate frame, back runner and support posts, with 25 x 25mm RHS uprights. Gates are locally manufactured at our facility in Tullamarine, Melbourne, Victoria. Management Systems Certifications and Risk Assessments Magnetic Automation is certified to the following Management Systems: Quality ISO9001:2008 Environment ISO14001:2004 Occupational Health and Safety OHSAS18001:2007 The STG Cantilever Slide Gate has been fully risk assessed by an external provider and this product complies with the Plant Regulations of 2007 and Australian Standards AS 4024 for Safe Guarding of Machinery and AS 4360 Risk Management Standards. Slide Gate Drive System The STG slide gate has it’s own drive system with a fully programmable logic controller & 0.75kW German made heavy duty motor, necessary for the continuous use for speed and reliability. The fully programmable logic controller is self- contained in its own secured IP65 rated enclosure and can be used in conjunction with any access security system. The motor and control unit are housed in a lockable gate tower which supports & secures the gate. Safety Photo Electric Beams Each sliding gate, as a minimum, must have 2 photo electric safety beam sets fitted. All photo electric beams must be constantly monitored by the gate controller and positioned 600 mm and 1200 mm from road level. Should a beam be blocked by a person or vehicle, the system will stop and wait until cleared, prior to any further gate movement. All beams must be wired as safety stop. GeneralThe STG Cantilever Slide Gate is designed for heavy duty applications. This product eliminates the need for ground tracks and overhead rails.

Cantilever sliding gate system consist of the following metal work items:

SafetyInductive Loop Detector and Loops

Each sliding gate system must have at least 2 vehicle safety induction sensors in addition to the photo electric beam safety. One vehicle loop will be cut into the existing roadway 1.0 metre either side of the gate centre. All vehicle induction loops must be constantly monitored by the relevant gate controller. In the event that the safety loop is obstructed, the gate will immediately stop and either remain in this position until it is clear, or, retract back into the fully opened position.
