With regards to late scratching of KATY BELL – Race 5 No. 2, the husband of trainer J Erwin
informed Stewards during kennelling that he had endeavoured to scratch the greyhound due to
illness several times this morning – prior to 9.00am, on the GRNSW 1300 number, yet the calls went
un-answered. This was confirmed by Michael Galea, who also attempted to withdraw by phone,
MONSTER MISSION in Race 2, due to it’s ineligibility. The scratching of Monster Mission however
didn’t become late, due to the automation of OzChase withdrawing the greyhound.
