LATE WITHDRAWALS

The greyhound Aston Dinnigan – Race 6 No. 2 competed at Ballarat on Monday, finishing last as a

short priced favourite. The greyhound was subsequently examined post race, and was found to be

injured, incurring a 10 day incapacitation certificate. Trainer P Abela arranged with GRV Stewards

for Aston Dinnigan to be re-examined pre meeting at Geelong last night, with a viewpoint of

having the incapacitation embargo reduced, allowing the greyhound to start tonight. Aston

Dinnigan was passed fit by the Geelong vet, with the incapacitation period reduced.

GRNSW Stewards contacted trainer P Abela and directed him to present Aston Dinnigan prior to

the kennels opening tonight, with the greyhound to be subjected to a thorough veterinary

examination before being permitted to start. Aston Dinnigan was passed fit to race.

All winners tonight will be swabbed.

Random elect pre race swabs are to be obtained from CHASIN’ CRACKERS – Race 2 No. 7, and LITTLE

DIGGER – Race 5 No. 6.

No Trials

Stewards permitted ROSTERED ON – Race 5 No. 5 to compete under GAR 39(2). The greyhound last

started on 3/2/18 at the weight of 30.9kgs, and was presented tonight at 32.3kgs.
