Brief Summary:
Over 20 years’ experience with such esteemed companies as Tyco, Aker Solutions (Kvaerner) and Worley Parsons predominantly as a Project Engineer on Topside / Subsea and Pipeline projects. I am a Multidiscipline Engineer with an Electrical and Instrumentation bias and have gained experience in Planning, Cost Control, Resource Planning, Tendering, Commissioning / Decommissioning, Inspections and Testing. I have recently secured IEng status and will continue to work towards CEng and Chartered Manager. I have on-site and offshore experience and hold up to date BOSIET/MIST medical etc. I am GWO and CompEx certified and I have completed ECTIB approved course for “Planning, Execution and Managing Decommissioning Projects”. July 2015 to Present – Project Engineer– Pipelines & Subsea – (Contractor) Consub Ltd;-
Working on Nordstream Pipeline Projects – HPU’s, SCADA, Fire & Gas, Pipeline Integrity, Maintenance Planning, Testing Procedures, input to CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and Improvement Studies. Site surveys. Spares planning. Obsolescence studies. Pipeline Test & Commissioning Procedures including leak / pressure testing pigging / Ice pigging, Cable Laying Experience. HLV’s. Buoyancy Aided installation QC Inspection Work for BV / Technip. Valve Spec reviews. Concrete and Tyre Mattresses.Also, carrying out ad-hoc QA/QC Inspections for Stork Technical Services (Fluor), Global SCS and Bureau UK.
September 2011 to June 2015 – Senior Project Engineer (Contractor) – Aker Solutions (Aberdeen): -Lead Project Engineer for Statoil Projects – Subsea Control Systems – Role similar to below May 2005 to Sept 2010 but promoted to Senior PE, working on Statoil Skuld (Connected to Norne FPSO) and Aasta Hansteen (SPAR platform). Approval of acoustic leak detectors, venturi flowmeters, and multiphase flowmeters (witnessed FAT) in flow control modules, erosion probes, paddle flowmeters in subsea control modules etc. For Aasta Hansteen I wrote Installation, test and Commissioning Procedure for Subsea and Topside as well as the FIT which was completed ahead of schedule! Heavy Interfacing with topside CB&I and ABB.
September 2010- September 2011– Project Engineer (Contractor) at WorleyParsons, Brentford: -Jasmine Project for Conoco Phillips. Jasmine Field Development comprises 3 new platforms 1) living quarters 2) wellhead platform and 3) riser platform all tied back to Judy Platform. My duties included but limited to chasing down vital 3rd party structural information to expedite fast track design needs to various disciplines for ALL required electrical, valve, piping, instrumentation and mechanical packages. I was also managing discipline engineers for numerous instrumentation (flowmeters, PTT’s, erosion probes, leak detectors etc.) and mechanical packages from bid to po and beyond.
May 2005 – Sept 2010 Aker Solutions (Subsea) Ltd, Aberdeen - Lead Project Engineer (Contractor) – Subsea Control Systems:Experience with complete Subsea Control System from Topside Controls down to trees including subsea structures, SCM’s, SEM’s, SDU’s, SEDU’s, IWOCS, HPU’s, EPU’s, PLC’s (Siemens, Allen Bradley), SCU’s, VSD’s, Umbilical’s, Electrical, Hydraulic & Fibre Optic Jumpers, Stab-plates, Subsea Distribution, ROV operations etc. Projects completed for Statoil, include Troll, Fram Ost and Vilje fields as well as assisting in projects for BP Schiehallion (Topside modifications and subsea upgrades and wellsets) and Reliance India. I have been Lead Project Engineer for Statoil Visund Upgrade interfacing new SCM’s to old Trees / new Trees, tubing hangers and mounting bases and

designing new subsea electrical distribution, DIU’s and top side controls (SIEMENS). I was also Lead Project Engineer for the supply of a Condition Monitoring Module for Tyrihans Gas Booster System, I was Lead Project Engineer for the Controls section for the full EPC Contract for OYO Field Development for ENI including Inter-company liaison with Trees, Subsea Structures, Umbilcals, Wellhead, System Engineering and Tie-In’s as well as 3Rd Party Supplier’s of FPSO (Bumi Armada - Armada Perdana FPSO.) and Installation Contractor (Technip, witnessing ROV Access Testing and reviewing Hazop / Hazid for Installation of Equipment). For OYO, we managed to supply a complete subsea system including SCM’s, Trees, Wellheads, Umbilicals and Topside SCU and HPU in 16 months from contract award including NO outstanding Documentation! I also supervised the umbilical load-out and cable laying. I was Lead Engineer / Deputy Project Manager for Ormen Lange Gas Compression System for Statoil / Shell.Other Skills - Local SAP Super User, Writing Test Procedures (Full Control Integration for Control Systems with 3 rd Party Kits including flowmeters etc, Basis of Designs, System Manuals etc.), interfaces etc. Acting as client point of contact for all engineering issues and interfacing with 3rd parties and vendors.
