An ambitious, motivated and focused Health, Safety and Environment professional, with over 25 years experience in production and manufacturing industries. I have had tenures at highly respected companies involved in diverse projects including Petro-Chemical installations and pharmaceutical production. Articulate with excellent communication skills gained both academically and at skilled worker level, I am able to communicate effectively at all levels. I handle multiple tasks on a daily basis competently, working well under the daily pressure of an FMCG site. To further enhance my career I am currently undertaking the NEBOSH Environmental Diploma.

EHS Advisor - Nov 2011 – Present – Reckitt Benckiser Healthcare a FTSE top 15 company, led by 19 global “powerbrands”, such as Dettol, Lemsip, Gaviscon, Mucinex, Senokot, Fybrogel and Nurofen. Part of three person EHS team responsible for Reckitt Benckiser Healthcares “flagship” manufacturing site. Duties include carrying out risk assessments, incident investigations, workplace inspections and internal safety audits to OHSAS 18001 standards.Performing of COSHH, DSEAR, PUWER and Manual Handling assessments. Preparation and delivery of ad hoc presentations and Tool Box talks. Performing initial site inductions to new employees and visiting contractors, management of Permit to Work system and contractor control. Identifying and implementing both external and internal staff training needs. Chairing monthly Site EHS management reviews. Chemical Process Operative – July 2005 – Nov 2011 – Reckitt Benckiser Healthcare – Involved in several stages of a seven stage chemical process to produce Buprenorphine, an opiate derivative substance, included in this operation is the use of Cyanide, Methyl Vinyl Ketone, Acetone and Diethylene Glycol. These chemicals were handled daily under strict “Stand-Down” conditions ensuring compliance with COSHH regulations.
