PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCEJuly 2014- Present day Caecillian Ltd - Surveyor/InstallerI survey and install both commercial and domestic water meters on behalf of United Utilities. This involves both the exchange and upgrade of existing meters, to new installations on new build sites across the North West. This involves working alongside all the major house builders, as well as major commercial construction companies on new retail units and industrial builds.I hold a valid CSCS SHEA (Water) Network card.

July 2009 – July 2014 Dyno Plumbing - Team ManagerAs manager of a busy plumbing franchise, I was responsible for a team of 15 engineers providing 24 hour on-call response to British Gas Homecare customer’s fresh water and waste water

emergencies. I provided technical support for the field based engineers and office staff, including out of hours contact, providing initial phone advice, often leading to site visits. This included technical advice for maintenance issues such as specialized replacement parts for sanitary appliances, to surveying major works such as water supply pipe replacement and installation.With responsibility for business development and sales, targets were achieved through mentoring and coaching engineers to develop their customer interaction skills in order to help them to promote and develop the ‘Dyno’ brand image and awareness. In 2011, we were awarded “Franchise of the Year” for business growth and development. My previous business experience allowed me to develop my role in order to generate further revenue and profit for the business by exceeding customers’ expectations and providing a first class service from initial planning to final fitting and after care. This includes the provision of home visits to advise and assist customers with choosing appliances, as well as bathroom and kitchen planning, re-design and refurbishments from start to finish, include tiling and flooring solutions.

2004 – 2009 SB Plumbing Services (Sole Trader) I offered the provision of first class maintenance and installation services to both domestic and commercial customers. Having sourced, negotiated and developed excellent business relationships with several letting agents to service and maintain their portfolios. This extended to tenants to whom I provided a professional and high quality service that resulted in repeat business and new business through personal recommendation.

1996 – 2009 Pet Supplies and Animal Feeds (Sole Trader)I owned and operated a thriving retail business for over 12 years, providing an extensive range of animal feeds and pet supplies on both a retail and wholesale basis. I sourced and developed excellent relationships with importers and merchants, and had sole responsibility for all aspects of the business, including calculating profit margins, sales and marketing, business growth, and absolute fiscal and legal responsibility.

Over the lifetime of the business, sales and profits increased annually with an expanding customer base.

1987 – 1996 S.J. & G.E. BAUMAN- HOME FURNISHINGS (General Manager) Having progressed from sales advisor to general manager, my duties included operational responsibility for the day to day running of a thriving multi-site retail business. My responsibilities encompassed all aspects of retail management, including sourcing, developing and maintain manufacturer and supplier relationships, meeting sales targets, introducing a new stock control process and customer service.As a front line manager in a customer facing role at all five sites, I took pride in exceeding customer expectations from ordering to delivery, and after care. My administrative responsibilities included compilation of staff rotas and holiday entitlements, payment of salaries and providing liaison between staff and the owners, to whom I had direct accountability and with whom I have maintained an excellent post-employment relationship.During my employment, I identified key individuals with development potential and subsequently promoted internally.
