2013 to 2015 Justice LiaisonResponsible for identifying adults affected by FASD that have become involved with the Justice system, researching their family history, preparing reports for the crown and defence, advocating in court to achieve solutions that are both fair for the public, the client and the crown. The role also includes supporting clients to obtain services and support to help reduce the possibilities of re-offending.

Responsible for producing and implementing the Trucking Division Safety Policy, Driver recruitment, driver training and driver reviews. The position also covered the service ability and safety of all trucking equipment including monitoring of all current legislations regarding Federal Operations and animal welfare.

2003 - 2008 Officer, Dorset Police, UK My time as a Police officer gave me the skills and ability to deal with a varied situations,

from comforting distressed and injured people to highly confrontational and violent situations. The role also required great attention to detail when preparing files for investigation and Court. I was also a Tutor Officer for Probationary Community Support Officers, responsible for all levels of their personal development. I have also attended the International Institute for Restorative Practices and qualified in Standard Restorative Practices. I was also privileged to be chosen as a Team Leader for the Prince’s Trust leading a four month course for struggling teenagers.

1990 - 2002 S R Haulage International, UKSet up and managed the above business being responsible for the efficient operation of the company until selling up in 2002. During this time we carried out Import and Export for all the large UK Wine Importers collecting wine from all over Europe including France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Germany. All driver training was completed in-house by me. This not only included safer driving techniques, but also the skills to deal with all the different H.M. Custom & Excise’s forms required plus our own company procedures. Communication skills were extremely important when dealing with drivers who could be on the other side of Europe.

1980 - 1989 H M Royal Marines, UKJoined the Commando Training Centre at Lympston, DevonIn 1980 I passed the Commando course and was posted to 42 Commando Royal Marines at Bickleigh Barracks. I was drafted as a Marine into a Rifle Company, during which time my duties included tours of Northern Ireland, several winters in Norway and the Falklands conflict in 1982. In the Corps I was fortunate to be given courses that led me to become an Instructor in Military Skiing and Arctic Survival Techniques. I specialised as weapons instructor and attained the rank of Sergeant (local). In 1989 I was discharged from the Corps on medical grounds due to injury.
