TV Series: The Red Carpet Showtime Networks – 2002-2003

Wrote, shot and edited the half-hour hosted TV series The Red Carpet for Showtime Next. The series involved

creating packages around interviews with celebrities on the red carpet at various Hollywood events.

Feature Documentary: Better Living Through Circuitry Cleopatra Films – 1999

Steve has four separate credits on Better Living Through Circuitry, a feature-length music documentary

about the rave scene in America that was the opening-night selection of the 1999 Los Angeles Independent

Film Festival. The film was picked up for nationwide theatrical distribution through 7th Arts Releasing and has

been shown at film festivals and on TV networks around the world, including Channel 4 in the United

Kingdom and Showtime in the United States. Credits include Associate Producer, Production Coordinator,

Shooter and Editor.

Writing

Screenplay: The Long Home Rabbit Bandini Productions - 2015

Co-wrote adaptation of William Gay’s novel The Long Home, winner of the 1999 James Michener Memorial

Award for fiction, with Vince Jolivette, co-writer of Child of God and James Franco’s partner in Rabbit

Bandini Productions. Film production to begin in May of 2015, starring and directed by James Franco.

Screenplay: Nothing Rabbit Bandini Productions - 2014

Pitched and wrote the feature-length screenplay Nothing, a true-crime account of the murder of teenager

Jason Sweeney by his friends in Philadelphia in 2003. Project involved conducting extensive interviews with

survivors and witnesses to the case.

Screenplay: Blackmoth Rabbit Bandini Productions - 2014

Pitched and wrote the feature-length screenplay Blackmoth, a psychological horror story that won the 2014

Creative World Awards and secured representation through Woolf & Lapin, who attached the established

director John Poliquin to it. It has been read by established production companies that include Blumhouse

Productions, Lakeshore Entertainment and Vertigo Productions.

Screenplay: The Tolltaker 2005

Wrote The Tolltaker, a feature-length screenplay about a young boy coming of age in the aftermath of the

Vietnam War in the early 1970’s. The screenplay was named a semi-finalist in the prestigious Nicholl

Fellowship Screenwriting Competition, held each year by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.

Time Off Magazine – Assistant Editor 1995-1997

Researched and wrote articles for publication in an arts and entertainment supplement to the Princeton

Packet and a chain of other newspapers in central New Jersey. Duties also included generating and

assigning stories, editing the work of other writers and lay-out of the magazine.

The Princeton Packet – Newspaper Reporter 1994-1995

Researched and wrote articles and features as a staff reporter for the Princeton Packet. Beat included

Princeton, New Jersey and surrounding areas.

Wrote press releases and distributed them to an established network of press contacts for the Westwood

One Radio Network in Culver City, California.
