DAY 1 Depart from your local city.

DAY 2 Arrive in the vibrant city of London where you will stay just minutes from the Buckingham Palace gates at the 4.5-star St. James Hotel. Meet and mingle with your fellow travelers during a three-course meal in the hotel dining room.

DAY 3 Receive an overview of the city’s most popular destinations during a coach tour, then return to the hotel for a short walk to Buckingham Palace, where you can take a leisurely self-guided audio tour. The evening is yours.

DAY 4 Spend the day like a Downton Abbey denizen. Take a self-guided tour, chat with docents at Highclere Castle and stroll the sprawling gardens. Light lunch is available at one of Highclere’s tea rooms. The next stop is a ride to Bampton, the charming village that is another filming location used for some of the show’s most memorable scenes. Spend the night in The Carnarvon Arms, which is the inn used by the Downton Abbey cast. The 19th-century building was a former Highclere coaching inn. (Only double beds available). You may also stay at Newbury Hilton.

DAY 5 Travel from Newbury to Stonehenge then to the house of frequent Highclere visitor, Jane Austen. The evening concludes in Padstow at the favorite hotel of The Prince of Wales and his wife, the former Mrs. Wallis Simpson. The 4-star Metropole Hotel in Padstow will be our home in Cornwall until we depart for Bath.

DAY 6 Visit the quaint fishing point, Padstow, which is a featured location for PBS hits Doc Martin and Masterpiece: Poldark. The day includes panoramic tours of St. Ives and St. Just. The drive between St. Ives and St. Just is often called the most scenic in all of Britain. Finish the afternoon in St. Ives with the locals favorite meal, a Cornish cream tea.
