On July 8, 2019, Lunches of Love will begin

its 11th year of providing healthy lunches, daily

devotionals and prayers, a place for supervised

activities from basketball and handball to Va-

cation Bible Camp to sewing, pottery making,

and life-skills training. This is truly the heart-

beat of mission in our church and our commu-

nity.

This year with the help of the whole commu-

nity, we will be reaching out to children Mon-

day-Friday, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., from July 8

to August 8. We want you and your neighbors

to be a part of touching these children’s hearts

with the love of Jesus Christ. To volunteer for

Lunches of Love, please contact susan sample

Vacation Bible Camp will reach out to the

children of our community with To Mars and

Beyond July 22-25, 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. with

lunch immediately following. Please help us

spread the word to your children, grandchil-

dren, and great-grandchildren as well as those

of your friends and neighbors. This is an out-

of-this-world opportunity to change a child’s

life with the love of God.

On september 9, 2019, The stand Praise and

Worship will launch its first Sunday morning

service at 9:45 a.m. in the Family Life Center.

This will inaugurate another great mission/out-

reach opportunity to touch people looking for

contemporary worship

The stand invites volunteers to help with hos-

pitality, greeting, receiving of offerings, musi-

cians, and technical support. if you would like

to be part of launching The stand on sundays,

it is a privilege to serve a congregation that

has such a strong desire to fulfill God’s call to

mission in the communities that surround us!

Choir for you? Yes!!! Our choir is made up of people just like you, and we are always interested in reaching out to those who love to sing. no need to worry if you don’t read music because we have many members who do and would be happy to help you learn how to follow along. no auditions needed! Only a desire to ‘make a joyful noise’. Tricky rhythms are gone over and rehearsed as well as all the harmony sections. I believe there is something of interest in many different styles of music and we want to explore those styles.

Our choir takes a break from rehearsal during most of the summer, but we will begin again in the middle of August. Presently, we gather at 10:30 on sunday mornings to go over the music of that day. We have fun! We believe that music is a mission and can touch hearts in ways that help us all connect with God more fully. Please consider being part of our choir family. You are needed, and will be welcomed ! Our meeting time of 5:30 on Wednesdays will resume in the middle of August. Feel free to talk to me or any choir member about what to expect. and domino games.) The Wednesday afternoon Game Day continues to be fun for an average of 12 people. They meet each Wednesday from 3:30 - 5:00 in the Family Life Center, room 201, to enjoy Cribbage, rummikub, Canasta, 42 and other games.

summer is in full swing here at rainbow! Our school age kids have already been very busy. Every Tuesday is the summer reading program at the library and on Wednesdays we will be going to the movies and the splash pad in Mt. Pleasant. not to be left out on the summer fun, our younger kids will be able to enjoy water day here at rainbow every Thursday. We have had a GrEAT first half of summer and are looking forward to more of the same for the second half.

Currently we have three volunteers who rotate driving duties, but they need a rider on the bus also. in the past they have also had to rotate as riders when they are not driving. if you have one day a week or a week in July that you can help them please call susan sample at 903-860-7079.
