How to register for a UNCG School of Education / PTEC ELA Common Core State Standards professional development modules

Step 1: Visit http://soe.uncg.edu/ccss to access our module landing page. You can watch an overview of all of our modules, enter the registration site, and ask questions via email or our help desk.

Step 2: Upon entering the registration link, look for the link in the left column for PTEC Registration link.



Step 3: Enter your information in the form (Name, school district, grade level, subject area, email address, and phone number). To receive a free module tuition, teacher MUST register with an email address from a PTEC School district. Click here to view a list of PTEC school districts: http://www.servecenter.org/ptscdi.html Select the module you wish to enroll in from the drop down menu and any comments or questions you may have.

Step 4: Click SUBMIT. You will be redirected back to the home page. You will receive an email from SERVE, Inc. in 24-‐48 hours, which includes a link to the modules, and your username and password. Please check your email inbox (and SPAM folder) for an email from [email protected]



After you receive your email from UNCG containing your username and password:

Step 5: The module URL is http://onlinelearning.servecenter.org/uncgmoodle/ Click LOGIN in the upper right hand corner of the page.

Step 6: Enter your username and password. Once you are logged in, the first thing you will be asked to do is to create a new password for yourself. Your new password must have at least 8 characters, at least 1 digit(s), at least 1 lower case letter(s), and at least 1 upper case letter(s).



Step 7: Once you enter Moodle, choose the module you have enrolled in.

Step 8: On the homepage of your module, the first thing you will want to do is watch the COURSE TUTORIAL VIDEO. This short video will help acclimate you to your professional development module and inform you about the next steps you should take.
