As you do this, peel off the backing paper and stick the expansion foam to the wall. NOTE: Do NOT remove the backing paper from the scored top section - not necessary for yellow expansion foam. Ensure that the expansion foam is tightly butted together at any joints and that it is pushed back into corners. Step 2 Lay insulation panels, using bonded arrangement to create staggered joints. NOTE: These panels are to be independently sourced – NOT supplied with the Room Pack If required by the insulation, cover it with a suitable DPM. Ensure integral gaiter on edge expansion foam is lying flat on top of insulation panels and plastic sheeting. Slit gaiter at corners to allow it to lie flat. Tape the gaiter edge down to the prepared floor. Installation Steps

Step 1

Place edge expansion foam round room perimeter, starting halfway along a straight section. As you do this, peel off the backing paper and stick the expansion foam to the wall.

NOTE: Do NOT remove the backing paper from the scored top section - not necessary for yellow expansion foam.

Ensure that the expansion foam is tightly butted togetherat any joints and that it is pushed back into corners.

Step 2

Lay insulation panels, using bonded arrangement to create staggered joints.

NOTE: These panels are to be independently sourced – NOT supplied with the Room Pack

If required by the insulation, cover it with a suitable DPM.Ensure integral gaiter on edge expansion foam is lying flat on top of insulation panels and plastic sheeting.Slit gaiter at corners to allow it to lie flat.Tape the gaiter edge down to the prepared floor.

Step 3

Plan pipe layoutRECOMMENDED PIPE SPACING: 200mm centres.

Start pattern from nearest point to location of manifold.Use spiral [recommended] or serpentine pattern: serpentine pipe runs normally lie parallel to longest edge of room.Avoid floor areas where heating NOT required.

EXAMPLES: under permanent fixtures such as kitchen appliances/cupboards. Do NOT install heating pipe here.

Step 4

Place and fix pipeNOTE: This can be completed faster if installed by two people – one to uncoil the pipe, one to staple pipe in position

Remove Wavin cutter from pipe reel, strip off blue wrap, and find pipe end from centre of reel.Leave tail long enough to reach manifold. For spiral pattern: begin approx 150-200mm from the wall then begin laying pipe at 400mm centres to middle of room – then return out, leaving pipe at 200mm centres.Use edge of gaiter from edge foam as guide for pipe spacing from walls.Fix staples by hand, or with staple gun while standing.Staple pipe at approx. half-metre intervals on straights.Keep pipe tight, to within 5mm variance. At each loop turn, secure pipe with three staples, including oneat apex of turn.

IMPORTANT NOTE: To avoid over stressing pipe, do NOT make turn tighter than 200mm diameter

Where pipe tails are below manifold location, clip each pipe into a curved pipe support.

Step 7

Connect to system

The system can be installed with or without boiler interlock (Option A belowor B on the next page). Please follow the relevant set of Connection Diagrams for your systemconfiguration, paying close attention to the diagram notes.

A – With boiler interlock

Plumbing connections

All components must be installedand earthed in accordance withlocal regulations.

Electrical connections

The UFH Thermostat should notbe installed in Wet Rooms, e.g. Bathrooms. When controlling Wet Rooms, the UFH Thermostat should be located in a suitable location outside of the Wet Room, with the Remote Sensor Probe installed inside the Wet Room.
