STEP is a Trainee Exchange Programme that enables law students and young lawyers to gain frsthand experience o the substansive and procedural law as well as the culture o another country.Te traineeships are between 2 weeks and 18 months and can take place in any law related area: law rms,courts, public institutions, universities, banks, in-house legal departments, consulting rms and internati-onal organisations.

Each year ELSA oers several traineeship opportunities all over Europe and occasionally in other parts o the

world. Beore and during the traineeship, ELSA provides assistance in nding accommodation, applying orvisas, when necessary, and organising social events to involve the trainee in the daily lie o the local community.
