LAKEWOOD—Over 70 elemen­tary teachers from the South­western Central School system participated in an audio-visual workshop recently at the Celoron Elementary School.

Workshop instructors were Mrs. Jane Smith, audio-visual coordinator of the Westfield Academy Central School and chairman of the Board of Co­operative Education Services Audio-Visual Council and Mrs. Florence Emerling, audio-visual director at Brocton Central School and an active BOCES Audio-visual council member.

Mrs. Smith demonstrated the making of overlays, laminating and "lifting" of pictures and was assisted by five high school boys, Westfield's audio-visual club members. Each teacher ex­perimented with a sample of their choice. The copy maker was demonstrated and used by the teachers. These materials new pipe line, compared with

Miss Gladys Weiss, Lakewood Elementaty School principal was in charge of arrangements for the workshop. She is school representative to the monthly audio-visual meetings which are held at the District Superintend­ent of School's office in Fredo-nia, according to Fulton McKay, supervising principal of elemen­tary education.

Francis Tonello, county cur­riculum director and coordina­tor of audio-visual materials from the Board of Cooperative Educational Services at Fredo-nia attended the workshop at the Celoron School.

JUNIOR SERVICE HOUR HELD AT GOULDTOWN

GOULDTDWN—Mrs. Irving T. Jones presented a special mes­sage for children at the Junior service hour Sunday in Gould-town Community Church. Mrs. Ruth Anderson, her assistant, discussed the awarding of pins for special attendance. Sunday School classes begin at 10 a.m., and the Rev. Irving T. Jones, pastor, leads worship services at 11 a.m.

90 Sick Calls Reported A t Circle Meeting

LAKEWOOD — Ninety sick calls and the sending of 23 cheer cards were reported by Mrs. Myra Dietzel, cheer chairman at a recent Friendship Circle meeting held at the home of Mrs. Warren Thompson, 179 Chautauqua Ave., Lakewood. Members recently reported ill were Mrs. Cora Brown, Mrs. Ernest Schneider and Mrs. Edna Ehmke.

During the business session led by Mrs. Ben Kohler, plans were made for two coming events including: Jamestown District W.S.C.S. "Day Apart" service at the Falconer First Methodist Church from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. and the Week of Prayer and Self-denial service on Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. in the Lakewood Methodist Church.

Members attending the Fal­coner service are requested to bring a Bible and a sack lunch, with coffee and dessert being served by the committee.

"Roll, Jordan, Roll," an ar­ticle recently published in the Reader's Digest was read by Mrs. Kohler.

Devotions were led by Mrs. Leslie Baybrook and Mrs. Wil­liam Gaiser led in prayer.

Serving on the refreshment committee were Mrs. Thomp­son and Mrs. Schneider.
