Open a TD Ameritrade Account

To open a TD Ameritrade account, you will need to go to https://www.tdameritrade.com.sg/tdaa/index.html#!/openAccount?srcCode=SG_328

Since you do not have a US tax ID or SSN number, you will need the following documents: o 1 IRS form W-8BEN

o 1 copy of your current passport

o 1 copy of a bank or financial statement showing your name

and address.

o Signed copy of your application

Please be aware that in order to open the account, your name and address must be identical on all four of the listed items above.

TD Ameritrade will require an income verification documentation based on your current employment status. This is required so as to complete our due diligence and know your client requirements.

· Employed – Income Tax Statement, CPF Contribution statement or pay advice/slip. · Self-Employed or Freelance Employment - Income Tax Statement OR Bank statement, an ACRA Business File OR any other official business verification document. · Retiree, Unemployed or Students – Bank statement to verify the legitimacy of your funds. The bank statement will need to reflect your full name as per your NRIC, Singapore mailing address, bank account number and bank balances. Do take note that Internet screenshots or print screens are not accepted.

(7) In order for you enjoy the Mind Kinesis preferential commission rate, you will need to inform TD Ameritrade that you are a Mind Kinesis student when you mail their account opening paperwork or when your account is open or funded.
