4. Digital Tools 4.1 Accessing Textbooks through the ConnectED App

Note: Students must access the textbook by signing into the portal first, before they can use the McGraw Hill tile on the device.

Step 1: Tap the Internet Explorer tile to go to http://www.dadeschools.net/. Step 2: Tap the Student tab.

Step 3: Tap Login to Student Portal.

Step 4: Enter your Username and Password and tap on Login. You will be taken to

your portal. See Picture #2 below.

Step 5: On the Portal page, scroll down to Class Schedule. Tap on the book icon.

You will be taken to the ConnectEd website.

Step 6: On the ConnectED website, tap on Launch Mobile App.

After launching the app, you will be automatically logged into to the app and will see your book-bag. See picture below. Tap Open eBook to start download process.

Step 7: During the downloading process, you will see the message Loading eBook and then Extracting Course Book.

Step 8: After the download process is completed, you will see your textbook.

Step 9: After Steps 1-8 have been completed one time, you will then be able to access your textbook from the McGraw Hill Education tile on the Windows Start screen.

Step 10: When you tap the McGraw Hill app, you will be directed to the student’s book bag. Tap Open eBook to access content.
