Step 1: Remove the battery compartment cover and install the two “dongles” as shown in the picture. The dongle attached to the RED wire should be on the right. The dongle atached to the BLACK wire should be on the left. The wire/rivet end of the dongles must face the ON/OFF switch as shown in the picture.

Step 2: Re-install the battery compartment cover with the two wires protruding from the back of the cover as shown in the picture. You will not need to remove the battery cover once it is installed.

Step 3: Install 4 new alkaline, D-cell batteries in the battery holder in accordance with the diagrams in the battery holder. Apply one velcro tab to each side of the Rat Zapper. Secure the Rat Pack to the top of the Rat Zapper with the velcro strap provided as shown in the picture.
