Each memorial listedhas a general photo,detailed photos anda PDF transcriptionwith all the names and regiments of thesoldiers included. Fsoldiers included. Fromthis memorial we havechosen the name C. A.Martin. Make sure to note the soldier’s regiment and rank.

It’s important that you record eveything you can about your soldiers, including full name, rank,service number, military unit, date of death andplace of commemoration. You are next going tosearch the Commonwealth Graves Commission who hold the records for 1,700,000 service menand women. and women. You need to make sure you have as many details as you can gather, to cross checkthat you are looking at the records for the right soldier.
