COMPANYSince 1928, Steelway Fensecure Ltd has continued to be a market leader in the field offabrication excellence and expertise. We manufacture from our two state of the art productionfacilities, which are located in Wolverhampton and West Bromwich. Our continued commitmentto industry standards, specifications and design procedures, gives our customers the totalconfidence to continue to request our help in providing standard and engineered fabricationsolutions which meet their project requirements, timescales and budgets. To achieve our goals forexpansion and growth, we are now split into 5 divisions, allowing a dedicated focus andexpertise in each area.

QUALITY ASSURANCE AND ACCREDITATIONTo meet and exceed the quality assurance expectations of our customers, our operations arecertified under PAS99, an Integrated Management System. PAS99 encompasses BS EN ISO9001 - for Quality Management, BS EN ISO 14001 – for Environmental Management andOHSAS 18001 – for Health & Safety Management. Due to the multitude of markets that wesupply into, we are also committed to many industry accreditation schemes, product certificationand approvals and we fully comply with health and safety legislation, both in-house and on site.Full certification and accreditation information is available on our web-site.

DESIGN & EXPERTISEOur sales and design functions are equipped with the latest technology systems available.Utilising both 2D and 3D CAD software, combined with communication and IT systems, we areable to provide our customers with a rapid response to enquiries and orders. Designing with 3Dsystems also allows for easy design verification prior to fabrication. We continue to invest in ourdesign and fabrication facilities with plant, equipment, high speed automatic laser cuttingequipment and software.

Steelway manufacture and install a rangeof industrial and bespoke access stairs,platforms, vertical access ladders, shiptype ladders, gates, handrails andbalustrades. Available in mild steel,stainless steel, aluminium and GRP.

ACCESS METALWORK Supply and installation nationwide of access staircases, fire escape stairs, walkways,platforms etc. with a range of solid durbar pattern or open mesh stair treads andflooring panels. Standard two ball pattern handrails with toe plates where necessary,or vertical bar type balustrade, to suit general duty or heavy duty loadings. Verticalaccess ladders complete with a range of extended handholds including self closingtubular gates. Ship type ladders / companion way stairs can be supplied with openmesh or solid durbar pattern treads.We hold framework agreements with water utility companies and supply accessmetalwork extensively throughout the UK.

ARCHITECTURAL METALWORK.Feature stairs comprising powder coated stringers, with pan type treads, completewith a range of balustrades, manufactured in mild steel through to polished stainlesssteel. Various infill’s can be offered to the balustrades, including stainless steeltensioned wires, perforated steel infill panels or toughened glass panels.Spiral staircases are a traditional solution where access is restricted, we can combinethis with an attractive design feature, for internal or external applications. Variousmaterials, balustrade and tread combinations are available to meet the demands ofany application. We believe that a stairway should be a striking feature and by combining differentstructural and aesthetic elements we can provide a multitude of options. Single ormulti flight, bolted or welded assembly, the choice is yours.

SPECIALISED FABRICATIONS.We have completed various specialised metalwork and heritage projects,manufactured to suit specific customer requirements.By using up to date fabrication and jointing technology, we can replicate fabricatedstructures of a riveted construction. We also manufacture and install feature entrancecanopy structures.

Steelway Brickhouse provides unrivalledexpertise in the design, manufacture andinstallation of high quality standard andbespoke steel access covers and frames.All ranges are designed with industrystandards in mind. We are committed toworking to strict design criteria as detailedwithin the FACTA (Fabricated Access CoverTrade Association) specification, BS9124for covers larger than 1000mm clearopening and where applicable, BSEN124.

BESPOKE RANGE by using Inventor 3D modelling softwareand laser driven manufacturing, mild steelaccess cover solutions are available to suita multitude of applications that mayrequire non standard sizes, purpose madedesigns or increased loading capabilities.

BIOMASS FUEL STORAGE COVERSAvailable in any size and configuration.Most popular designs include eitherhydraulic, electric or gas arm openingoperation for total compliance to handlingguidelines. Units are available as flushfitting to existing ground level, upstandingfor fitting to concrete plinths or in acladded building form with large slidingopenings. We offer the complete processfrom survey, design, fabrication,installation to commissioning. Installationincludes for all necessary pipework,electrics and powerpacks.

TREE PIT IRRIGATION COVERSDesigned and fabricated to fit perfectlyinto pedestrianisation schemes. The unitsare available with a variety of differentrecess depths to suit all types of paver orslab infill materials. On tree pits, specificwatering or up-lighting can be locatedwithin the unit.

SOLID TOP ACCESS COVERSOur industry known range of Bristeel access covers and framesare suitable for all applications requiring a solid top cover. Therange includes single, multi-part and duct run layouts which canincorporate external hinges, smaller peep in covers and variouslocking devices. Bristeel is a known performer and can also besupplied with non slip coatings.

BLOCK PAVER & BRITISH TELECOM APPROVED ACCESS COVERSMild and stainless steel high quality external application recessedaccess covers and frames. These ranges are fabricated to the higheststandards to ensure continued performance under operation and areavailable in all sizes and loading categories. Certain ranges canaccept decorative edge finishes such as brass or stainless steel. OurTrade names such as Bripave and Precinct are synonymous withinthe marketplace. Bripave has always been known as the long termperformer as the products are load tested without infill material andthey have the ability to accept block paver, slab or any other infillmaterial. Precinct is known through its approval by British Telecomas a Kitemarked product manufactured to specification LN593.Precinct is available to suit BT and other telecommunicationcompanies chamber sizes.

INTERNAL RECESSED ACCESS COVERSMild steel and stainless steel high quality access covers are availableto suit a multitude of internal applications and floor finishes. Theseranges are fabricated to the highest standards and are designed tobe unobtrusive when combined with the chosen floor finish for ahidden appearance or as a feature with a decorative edge trim. TheBroadstel range of products are available in singular, multi partand duct forms.

WATER INDUSTRY ACCESS COVERSA complete range of access cover solutions designed to suit chamberapplications generally associated with the Water Industry.Traditional names such as Prolift, Defender and our new addition‘Stamp-Lock™’ (patent applied for) are known and trustedthroughout the industry. We currently have a number of frameworksin place for the survey, design, fabrication and installation of theseproducts. All ranges are available in any size, loading andconfiguration. Typical applications include; wet wells, valvechambers, screen chambers, inspection chambers, access chambersand many others.

MULTISPORT EQUIPMENT Safety is a key feature of our Multisportequipment that’s why we ensure that wedon’t just meet the minimum requirementswe exceed them. Our Multisport system isfully tested and carries a BSI Kitemarkcertificate to BS EN 15312. Available inheights from 1.0m up to 6.0m with ourSteelway heavy duty Rebound infill andoptional goal types to suit junior andsenior applications.

SPORTS FENCING When creating a sports pitch, a tennis courtor a golf site, it is important to rememberthat the right type of fencing will provide apositive impact on your site. Getting the rightbalance between safety, appearance andcost does not have to be difficult. We offer acomprehensive range to suit all differenttypes of applications with aestheticallypleasing secure designs. Fencing heightsrange from 0.9m up to 10m with variouscladding options available.

PLAYGROUND FENCING We believe that the correct choice of boundary fence for a playarea is as important as the equipment in providing a secure andsafe environment. That’s why our playground fencing ismanufactured to BS1722 Part 9 and where required to RoSPAguidelines. All vertical bars are fully welded as standard.Available in 1.0m and 1.2m high in Bowtop, Flat Top orPedestrian Guardrail designs.

BESPOKE FENCINGWe understand that every project is unique, which is why weprovide a range of bespoke fencing solutions. Drawing on ourwealth of experience, design and manufacturing skills we canmatch your existing fencing or by working together witharchitects and designers create something new.

REPAIR/ MAINTENANCEAs part of our service we offer a repair, refurbish and maintenanceservice to ensure your fencing stays looking good for longer.

AMENITY PRODUCTS In addition to our large range of fencing systems we also offera selection of street furniture and amenity products tocompliment any project. These include; seats, benches, litterbins, bollards, cycle stands, trip rail, archway signs, swing armbarriers, stiles and animal grids.

MEETING HOUSES Designed to provide a meeting point next to a Multisport area orin an open space in the park or village. A segmented seating areawith roof is available in a choice of sizes, with optional table.

VERTICAL BAR FENCING We offer a wide range of vertical barfencing from heights of 450mm to suitgarden wall tops to 2.4m high to deterwould-be vandals. We also offer solidinfill bars or hollow section round orsquare bars with optional mitre tops andwelded finials. A full range of gates areavailable to match.

Steelways Rail Division exists to serve thewide and varied specialised engineeringrequirements of the Railway Industry. Ourinvolvement in the Rail Industry dates backto the early 1930’s and consequently ourknowledge and experience gained overthose 80 years has provided us with anenviable reputation. We have Link Upapproval with Proof and PTS trained siteinstallation operatives.

With major renewals, reinstatements andrestoration schemes at an unprecedentedheight, the Railway Industry's rejuvenationhas created scope for Steelway to excel inbeing able to provide many of thesolutions to a myriad of engineeringproblems. With this in mind we invested inboth the best of modern technology,together with the most diverse oftraditional trades to match our ability toprovide the answer to your needs.

Current and recent projects range from avariety of access equipment and securitycovers through to gantries andcomponents in connection withelectrification schemes. AdditionallySteelway have an unsurpassedunderstanding of the numerous listed andheritage structures located across thecountry, and have been involved in awide variety of projects to either repair,extend or replicate as necessary. Ourskills in casting and fabrication (whichincludes replica riveted projects) has seena number of national award winningprojects carried out by us.

Work on heritage canopies includes newstructures to match those existing at thegrade II* listed Moor Street StationBirmingham together with sensitive repairsand replication at Loughborough Centraland total recreation at Kidderminster for

the Severn Valley Railway. In such cases a total package canbe offered which takes on the necessary castings and glazingelements together with the timber element and full installation.

The wide range of client needs has seen the recentreproduction of a cast iron station name in Somerset which isthought to be the first instance in 120 years where such aproduct has been produced. From heritage lighting through tothe production or refurbishment of a turntable, Steelway hasdone them all.

To compliment our existing range of products and services, wenow have the ability to provide high impact, energy absorptionsystems. These systems are designed and supplied in partnershipwith Oleo International.

SECURITY ACCESS COVERSOur Sentry range of high security accesscovers incorporates products which arecertified in accordance with LPS1175 SR4rating and are also a Police PreferredSpecification. To compliment this, there arefurther ranges of both approved and nonapproved security access covers which willensure that the highest levels of securityratings are achieved combined with moreeconomical solutions for less critical areas.

WINDOW AND SKYLIGHT SECURITYGRILLES AND BAR SETSWhether you are looking for a modernor heritage feel, we can supply andinstall a variety of application specificwindow and skylight protection productswhich are also available in a number ofstyles and colours.

SECURITY KIOSKS, CABINETS & BUILDINGSWhen optimum security combined with easy andfast installation are required, we can supply andinstall a range of LPS1175 SR4 certified kiosks,cabinets and buildings which are suitable for amultitude of applications across all market sectors.

BOREHOLE & GENERAL CAGE SYSTEMSAn excellent modular system with a design that suitsnot only borehole protection but many other largeor small scale applications. These cage systems areavailable in a variety of security levels.

360D GATESRather than going to the expense of replacingexisting doors and openings when undertaking asecurity upgrade, we can supply and install a rangeof LPS1175 certified protection gates. The design ofthe gates allow for up to a 360 degree opening toallow full access to the existing door or opening.

PERIMETER PRODUCTS & SECURITY FENCINGWe can supply and install several different typesof perimeter products and security fencing,designed to suit the level of security that yourequire. Typical types of fencing include Palisade,Mesh Panel and Chainlink, which can be suppliedwith additional barbed wire tops. We can alsooffer our Ridgeback system which has a serratededge to deter opportunist thieves and vandals.Perimeter products include anti climb spikes,fantails or cactus spikes.

SECURITY DOORSWe can supply and install differingranges of single and double skinnedsecurity doors, all of which areavailable in many styles, colours andsecurity ratings. Certain ranges arecertified to LPS1175 SR2, SR3 and SR4security levels.
