STAYING ALIVE 2017 a North East Christian Youth Event at Seahouses Hostel 10 th -13 th August 2017 What is Staying Alive? It is an opportunity for young people (School Years 7- 13) across the North East to spend 4 days and 3 nights together -making friends, exploring faith, having fun, taking part in worship and community projects and chilling out! What sort of things are planned? The programme will include: Workshops on a variety of subjects Community Projects Worship Guest speakers Group times Coffee bar Team competitions Talent show ......and much, much more! Where will we be staying? We will be staying at Seahouses Hostel (www.seahouseshostel.org.uk). Delegates can either camp on the lawn or there are limited spaces in dormitories in the hostel. Camping is recommended! Both options have toilets, showers and bathrooms. How much does it cost? Early Bird rate (before 30 th April): £50. Normal rate: £60 (after 30 th April) (Reductions for 3 or more siblings - please contact us for details). What do we get for our money? Supervised activities from 10 am on Thursday to 3pm on Sunday, all meals (except lunch on Thursday – bring a packed one!) – from Thursday supper to Sunday lunch as well as any materials you collect as part of the weekend. Transport to and from the Community project on the Saturday. But never fear – you can spend your money in the Coffee Bar. at Seahouses Hostel

What is Staying Alive? It is an opportunity for young people (School Years 7- 13) across

the North East to spend 4 days and 3 nights together -making

Photographs and videos will be taken by the organisers during the weekend. These images may be

stored electronically or by other means by the event organisers and stored securely by the Diocese of

Newcastle. The images may be used for promotional/marketing purposes and should the images be

used, names will not identify the young people concerned. You should be aware that young people

often post images and videos on social media as well.
