To Angel Manuel Hernandez Mejias Passport number: 041088940 To whom corresponds, It is my great pleasure to report the excellent performance of Mr. Hernández as a Researcher at Lulea ̊ University of Technology. Mr. Hernández was selected as Researcher at Luleå University of Technology, Luleå (Sweden) to do the Master thesis within the framework of the LTU/UPV at the Division of Operation and Maintenance Engineering. His research focus mainly concentrated to improve the prognosis capabilities of an asset by the development of models that combines Physics-Based and Data-Driven approaches. Beside his outstanding academic performance, his real strength is in his ability to work independently and formulate unique and creative research ideas. I have found his insights always stimulating and intellectually challenging. Mr. Hernández has a tremendous potential for independent research and study. He has good experience on advanced tools within used in industries and academics. I have been quite impressed by the way he understands suggestions from supervisors in order to develop appropriate approaches with in practicable terms. Within the perios he was at LTU (from January to July 2014), he published and presented conference papers that shows his strength is the area of Diagnosis and Prognosis. He has succesfully submitted a Technical Report to LTU and his thesis to UPV.
